Chapter Twenty: Practice
The last couple of weeks felt like a dream with everything that was going on. I still remember Kai calling me practically freaking out about the news that he was just told. "Were performing at the Olympics Hana. The Olympics" he told me.
My mouth was hanging open as I took in what he had said, the Olympics were in South Korea this year and they wanted the biggest group to play the opening ceremony. It was a huge deal for them to do this and I couldn't be more excited for the group of boys I had grown close to over the years.
"Kai this is great news" I responded wondering why he was calling me.
"Were using your dance, your name is going to be everywhere?" he told me.
My mouth that I had just closed dropped again knowing that my face was going to be seen by millions of people. Not only that but it was going to be a huge boost for my brand and I was sure that a lot of groups would be calling to have my work with them. This was going to be a great thing for me along with the boys.
Because the group was preparing for performing on the biggest stage of their lives it meant a lot of extra practices. I was being called in for one on one help by some of the boys who wanted the dance to be flawless. Of course, I didn't mind though and now my days were spent in the SM company building practicing for the opening ceremony.
"No like this," I said. Today I was working with Baekhyun who was having some problems with a couple of the step sequences. He copies everything I did and by the end of our time, he was able to do the steps blindfolded if he needed to be.
"Thanks for doing this for us," he said as we were packing up all of our stuff.
"It's my job but I don't mind," I said offering the boy a small smile.
He laughed his face breaking into a large smile "Still this is a huge deal for us and I know some of the boys wouldn't be doing it without your help" he said.
The group of boys was some of the most respectful I had ever met and it was nice to work with them. You could tell why they were some of the best in the world with the way they were able to pick up faster and cleaner than most other groups. And they didn't just rely on their talent they actually worked for what they wanted.
"This is a huge deal for everybody the entire world is going to see why so many people like Kpop," I said.
"You have a point," he said as we met with Kai in the hallway.
Kai and Baekhyun shared a look before Baekhyun walked off leaving Kai and me in the hallway. "Do you have time for lunch?" he asked holding up two paper bags that I assume held lunch for the two of us.
"Hmm I don't know I'm a busy person," I said pretending to check my watch. "I guess I can spare a bit of time" I joked with a smile.
Kai rolled his eyes but took my hand leading me through the hallway to a room I had never seen before. There were multiple lunge seats and a couple of tables scattered through the room. "This is a social area we don't use it much as most of the time were practicing" Kai explained as we sat at a random table.
Kai pulled out our lunches and set them out in front of us, it was a simple sandwich with a fruit cup. It wasn't anything fancy but I was happy that he thought about me enough to make me food so that we could eat together.
"Wow this is the most food a guy has ever made for me," I said which was true. A lot of guys either expected me to cook or just took me out to dinner nobody had ever tried to take me to dinner.
"Well I figured we didn't have enough time to go out and the cafeteria food isn't that great," he said with a simple shrug.
"It's great Kai really perfect," I said as we both dug into our meals.
