Chapter Twelve: Friends in Hollywood
Victoria was waiting for us at a park that was a short walk from my apartment. Tomorrow was our premier so I was preparing for all of the eyes that would be on me shortly. Ong seemed fine with all of it but he had been in the spotlight regularly, on the other hand, I had to adjust to all of it.
"What are your friends name again," Ong asked as we made our way down the street.
"Victoria, you'll like her she's really nice," I told him with a smile.
Our episodes have apparently boosted the ratings of the show quite a bit, which means they were showing a lot of our relationship. Apparently, fans said we had chemistry and that we worked well together.
I read comments about our time meeting the rest of Wanna One, and apparently, their sales boosted as well. The relationship I had with the rest of the boys was also talked about a lot, the fans loved the way that we interacted with each other. Plus everybody was interesting how we would interact in America.
"Victoria" I shouted catching the attention of the brunette who was sitting at one of the benched in the park.
"Hana" she yelled back, rushing over to me her arms wrapped around my neck both of us hugging each other. "God you know I didn't think I was going to miss you this much," she said causing me to laugh.
"I didn't expect it either," I said. Victoria and I were friends but we only knew each other for a couple of months. I guess we both felt the friendship and missed being able to talk freely with each other.
"Is this him?" she asked pointing to Ong.
"Yes this is Ong Seungwoo my soon to be husband," I said.
She nodded in approval, "She's cute" she said.
This caused me to laugh again, of course, that was what she cared about if I wasn't with someone who was cute I think she would be a little confused. Don't get me wrong I focus on character not just looks, but I have to be attractive to them at least a little bit.
"Trust me I know," I said pulling the boy down next to me on the bench.
"What is she staying" Ong whispered next to me.
Victoria seemed confused by the whole language but she did understand enough to know it was Korean. "She approves so far," I told him giving a small smile to both of the people beside me.
"You know your Korean sounds so cool," Victoria said, clapping her hands together and laughing. Rolling my eyes I pushed her shoulder lightly knowing that she was mostly joking around. "So the cameras just follow you around," she asked letting her eyes flicker to the camera crew.
"Yup everywhere we go they follow," I said with a small shrug. They were still quite annoying but I knew there were no ways to escape them so I just accepted it.
"And then like half of Korea tunes in to see you guys hang out," she asked.
I nodded, "we are apparently very popular something about having good chemistry or something equivalent," I said with a shrug. "Either way are views are some of the best numbers they have had in years," I said.
It did feel good to be doing so well even though I was gone for so long, with Ong and I and then Joy and whoever she was with the views were higher than they had ever been before. The company loved it and we were getting paid pretty well for it so I definitely wasn't going to complain.
"What are you guys talking about," Ong asked leaning on his lips just barely grazing my ear as he whispered the words.
"Stuff about the show don't worry nothing bad," I said giving his hand a light squeeze from where it sat in his lap.
