Chapter Twenty-Four: Date
My brain was in overdrive as I ran around my apartment getting ready for what I could only call a date. A month after Kai and I broke up I decided to call up Ong to take him up on his dinner invitation. Today was the day that we were going out and to say I was freaked out would be an understatement.
It had been a while since we had seen each other and I was worried about actually going out with him. A full month had passed a suitable time to get over Kai even though we had never really dated.
I had been so busy this last month that I didn't even have a lot of time to think about boys which were good because I was sure I would have messaged Ong earlier. Now though I had plenty of time to think about boys specifically the one I was going out with. This last month he had been all over the board MCing and performing with his members.
With everything I was doing it was odd that I managed to keep up with everything, he was doing. But I made it my job to check in with him at least once a week to check to see how he was doing.
Now I sat in the middle of my bedroom a ring light mirror in front of me and a pile of makeup next to me getting ready for this date. I was already dressed in a tight pink skirt and a black long sleeve top hoping I got no makeup spilled onto myself. Currently, I was doing my best to perfect my wing eyeliner and cursing to myself every second I messed up.
Just as I had finished the perfect wing my doorbell rang causing me to spring up. I practically ran to the door opening it finding Ong standing behind it. He wore blue jeans with a collared shirt under a fitted jacket, in other ways he looked extremely good.
"Come in just give me one second I need to finish getting ready," I said leaving the door to let him enter. I disappeared back into my room throwing my stuff into my purse ready to head out.
"Alright are you ready," I asked walking back into the room finding the boy looking around at everything.
"You look breathtaking," he said giving me a large smile.
My body relaxed slightly enjoying being in his presence. "I should be the one to say that I mean look at you," I said motioning down the man who stood in front of me. He was incredibly still the same yet extremely different from the last time I had seen him.
"Are you ready?" he asked me holding out his arm out to me to wrap my own around squeezing it slightly.
We were both aware of what was going to happen when we officially leave the building. My guess the next day we would be all over the papers and blogs, people speculating on if we were together or not. It was something that always happened when idols were out with anybody of the opposite sex.
Both of us made our way through the street Ong knowing where we were going but me being completely clueless. "I remember you telling me how much you love this place," Ong said as we came to a stop outside of a restaurant. I recognized it instantly as the place I used to go all the time with my family when we lived in Korea. The last time I had been here was with my parents so I was pretty excited to be here again with someone that I liked.
"This is perfect really," I said giving him a large smile.
Both of us made our way in, focusing on everything nothing seemed to change from the last time I was here causing my smile to expand. "Come on," Ong said gently grabbing my hand and leading me after the hostess.
As we sat I could see out of the corner of my eye Ong watching me as I took in everything that was going on around me. "This is perfect really," I told him finally turning my attention to the boy in front of me.
