Chapter Twenty-Six: Comfortable
My days were starting to feel the exact same. Don't get me wrong I love what I was doing but it just got boring after so long. Even worse I was getting homesick, I knew it was bound to happen after all I had grown my whole life in America. As I figured after a couple of months of being in Korea I was extremely bored and missing all of the things I used to do in America.
Ong and I were good we were talking every day either in person or on the phone. Surprisingly even though Ong was preparing for shows he still made time to visit me after practice. It was more than I expected but I want going to complain about it I liked that we had such good communication.
"So you and Ong" Yoonjung asked as she strolled into my apartment on Saturday morning.
"Yup finally happened and the companies aren't against us, which we both weren't expecting," I said. She walked over and fell onto my couch with a loud sigh.
"Well it's about time, I can't believe it took you that long as it is," she said shaking her head at me.
"I'm sorry that it took us so long next time I'll tell those involved that you needed me to hurry up" I responded with an eye roll. She was one of my closest friends but it did bug me when she constantly pressured me into doing stuff even if it was right of me too.
"Good I like my plans to work quickly," she said giving me a smile.
Of course, she had this idea that it was because of her that Ong and I were together. She had called it back when we first saw him, I didn't blame her for thinking that she had something to do with the fact we were now together. "Don't do that I always knew you and him would be the perfect couple it's not my fault that you never believed me?" she said back glaring at me slightly.
Throwing my hands up in a don't shoot motion gave her reason to only continue to glare. "Of course we were you called it," I said giving her a smile before I disappeared into my room.
I was getting ready to go out with Ong when she appeared at my door pushing into my apartment. This wasn't the first time she had done this, in fact, she loved to annoy me whenever she could. It was one of the only ways we were still this close though so I never bothered with telling her that she couldn't do that.
"So where are you running off to," she said slightly louder then I would have liked as we were in different rooms.
"I'm going out with Ong we have a date tonight. He's taking me to that new Sushi place claiming something about the guys wanted to know if it was good or not. He could make up whatever excuse he wanted I knew that we were going because I had mentioned I wanted to try it a couple of weeks ago" I explained as I changed into a nice casual dress. Before we went to lunch we were going to explore the city a little bit, both of us just wanted to pretend to be a bit more normal than usual.
Lunch was the highlight but Ong claimed he wanted to spend more time with me so we were going out earlier. He was lucky I liked him so much because that was the only reason I had gotten up so early. On days where I wasn't working, I was sleeping in till mid-morning nine or ten at the least but this morning I had to be out of the house by then.
I didn't particularly like getting up early but I did like Ong so if anybody was going to get me up early it was going to be for him. "So what are you doing till then," she asked as I continued to rush around my room.
"I'm not actually sure, he said he would figure something out" I responded.
"So it's a mystery date," she asked.
"No I know what we're doing for most of it," I said finally finding the missing shoe I had been looking forward to. To say my apartment could use a little bit of cleaning was an understatement it really could be tidied up a bit.
