Chapter Seventeen: First Move
Sumi lead me through hallways until we finally stopped in front of a sliding door and she glanced back making sure I was there. "Boys, I have a special guest," she said walking into the room but not letting me enter yet.
I could hear whispers from inside the room making me happy that they were excited to see me. After a couple more moments of suspense, Sumi slid open the door revealing me gaining small gasps. Most of the boys knew me so I wasn't surprised that they recognize me.
"Hana," a familiar voice said bringing my eyes to the one boy that I connected with over my time at SM.
Giving him a small smile I said, "Hey Kia."
"What are you doing here," He asked his smile never leaving his face. "Are you a trainee again?" he asked.
"No, I was actually going to ask to work with you guys. Offer to help Choreograph" I said.
Some of the boys glanced at each other either with confusion or excitement. "Well have to talk it over," Kia said glancing around at the boys. "Do you think you can wait outside for a bit?" he asked, and I nodded.
The door was closed and I was left to pace the hallway waiting for the group to decide what they wanted. After a couple of moments and weird sounds from the room, the door slid back open to reveal an out of breath Kia. "We agreed. We would love your help" he said offering me his hand to shake.
With that Kid brought me into the room and introduced me to the group though I knew a lot of them from passing. "So Hana, a couple of us were wondering if we could ask you about your time that you worked in America," Chanyeol asked as we all sat around in a circle.
"Well I'll be happy to talk about it, what do you want to know," I asked.
"What would you say is the major difference over there than here" Sehun spoke up everybody paying attention to me.
I thought about it for a bit before saying, "nothing even to my work but over here even though my group disbanded I'm still recognized on the street almost daily. Yet in America, I hardly recognized" I said. The social culture was different in America, and only a few had really paid attention to the kpop community so this didn't surprise me all too much. "You guys would probably still be recognized though because your so popular," I said, the boy groups were usually more popular than the female groups anyways.
"How is it being out of a company" one of the others asked.
"Well back in America, it was easy, but here it's more complicated though if we work together it will boost my name," I said with a shrug.
A couple of the boys laughed. We talked for a bit longer as a whole group before we broke into smaller groups Kia moving over to talk to me. "I'm really happy were working together," he said giving me one of his famous smiles.
"I can't believe I'm back here," I said looking around the room.
I remembered when Exo first got their dance studio, Kia showed it to me we spent a while in this studio either talking or dancing. A lot of idols didn't come from a dance background so Kia and I got along pretty well having both come from a dance background. "I always wished we would work together someday," I said sitting back against the mirrored wall.
"This is going to be insane," he said as we stared at his members.
Though there was a lot of them I had worked with plenty of large groups before but something about them all being well-known stars. I was a little intimidated even if I had worked with some of the biggest stars in America.
