Chapter Sixteen: Opportunities
It had been a month since the wedding and I was finally settled into my apartment lol of my stuff shipped from America. So officially I moved to Korea and was now looking for some sort of work.
When I announced that I was staying in Korea I had received a few calls from companies asking if I would like to join. I turned them all down it might have been easier if I was signed by a company but I wanted to do this myself. Since the reception, I hadn't seen any of the girls or boys but I did receive messages from them regularly.
Yoojung texted almost constantly making sure that I was settling in all right and that I would let her know when everything had calmed down. She wanted to take me out for food in celebration of moving back to Korea but wanted me to get settled before going out.
And now that I was done and there was nothing left for me to do I would be able to call her, and we would be able to go out like she wanted. So I called her we set up a time and place and now we were heading up to meet up. It was weird to be able to see her whenever. I wanted because it used to be that I wouldn't be able to even call her because of her schedule.
Being in Korea again was weird. I was once again being recognized usually daily, and it was nerve-racking to walk outside of my apartment. Thanks to the We Got Married even more people were recognizing me.
There were good things from this though as I had plenty of job opportunities which I was extremely excited to start. Companies realized that I wanted to do choreography and so I have received plenty of calls from them asking for my services. So my own decision was what I would do next.
It wouldn't be hard to find someone who would want me to do core after all Korea was swimming with artists. My biggest problem was who I should work with first, I needed to start with someone big to really break out in the kpop scene.
"Hi," I said taking a seat across from my old member.
"Hi, that's all I get, you just moved fully back into Korea," Yoo Jung said shaking her head at me.
"Sorry, sorry guess I'm still taking in everything," I said with a simple shrug.
She nodded and we quickly placed our order with the cafe we were at before going to find a table that was the furthest out of everyone's view. We both wore clothes that hide our faces as much as possible knowing that it was likely someone might recognize us. "So, how are you settling in," she asked me.
"Well for the amount of time I have spent in Korea. Now if I just could find a job" I said.
She looked at me her eyes wide, "You can't tell me you're having a problem finding a job with your resume" she said.
"It's not a matter of finding a job more of who I should work with" I explained to her. "I'm so out of touch who are the big groups now," I asked. Starting with a well-known group would boost my chances immensely.
Once again Yoojung looked at me like I had two heads, "Well BTS is huge, Got7, Exo anybody from the big three" she said.
"EXO, man I'm glad they're doing well I haven't seen them since I was a trainy," I said as we were from the same company.
The girl across from me nodded her head "I forgot that you were from one of the big three, I'm sure you could work with them pretty easily. It would definitely put your name on the spectrum" she said.
"You right plus I wouldn't hate to see my old company," I said.
For the rest of the time we talked about random stuff, Yoojung managing to bring up Ong in ways that didn't even make sense. It seemed she couldn't get it out of her mind that the two of us worked so well together.
