As I laid next to my unconscious ruby, I thought back to what had taken place. Her shrill screams that pierced through the woods, how she had fought so valiantly, and yet lost easily to my power and knife, the way she started to choke on the blood that escaped from her tongue, oh, and how her eyes rolled up to the back of her head as the pain became too much... It was absolutely glorious.
I could live my entire life doing this, making altercations to her, and any of her other siblings that I find, making them more and more like the mermaids they're destined to be. Just the thought alone was enough to send pleasant shivers up and down my spine.
Now, I know what you're thinking Meahnan, but no, of course, I wouldn't be stupid enough to settle down with someone who could kill me. Ariel's hands were tied, and her legs were bound all the way to her knees. What, you really think I would be stupid enough for that type of demise?
Ah, but looking back, that was a truly peaceful slumber. If only it could have stayed that way forever.
