The image of him lying motionless on the ground and the taunting blue eyes raking my spine made me shiver. It happened 5 months ago, but it feels happened today. The shelter's floor was cold against my belly fur my belly fur.
Rising to my feet I seek out to the roof to watch the sunrise.
Memories of me and my father watching the sun flood back.
A lot of things has happened since then.
Sometimes I wish things were back to normal.
But it will never be.
Because of Frost.
I nearly had a heart attack when I saw him towering over my brother yesterday.
He was punished and was instructed to help cut the prey from the food basket into pieces and was not to eat any dinner. He spent the rest of the day inside without any of his friends for company.
After some quiet moments, I went back inside.

I spotted her mother's grey coat. curled up. I also noticed Scout, my little brother wasn't there. I let out a groan. Scout was quite a troublesome kitten. Mama one told me that he took father's personality. Always looking for trouble yet acting innocent and in control. But he isn't here, not anymore. Putting my depressing thoughts at the back of my mind, I caught Scout's scent and followed his trail. It led me to the old building where I used to play in as a kitten. "Scout?" Come out wherever you are!" I called out to the dark brown tomcat. In the shadows, I caught a glimpse of blue eyes. Fear clawed my heart. With a yowl I leaped, claws unsheathed and pounced onto the cat. We wrestled in the dust for a while until the cat pinned me to the ground. I looked up, he looked down. His calm blue eyes didn't show hatred but mischief and kindness. Then noticing the darker grey stripes on his face over his light grey coat. I couldn't help but let out a purr of laughter.

"Jay, you nearly scared me, thinking it was Frost!" Jay released me underneath his grip and sat back licking a forepaw. "Yeah well, you attacked me only because I have blue eyes. "Are you going to attack every cat with blue eyes Nutmeg?" He teased. I playfully cuffed his ears. "No, unless I have to too. What are you doing here anyway?" I asked. Jay flicked his ears to our right. In the shadows, a pair of amber eyes shone excitement."Looking for a certain rascal, I promised the squirt I'll show him the alleys. My relief diminished when I heard what he said. "Did you ask our mother?" I prompted. Jay nodded. "Yeah, he's safe with me." His words should have comforted me but a spark of unnecessary anger boiled in my veins. "Oh? You do know I am the one to take care of him when mama isn't there?" I glared. "Nut...He's taking good care of me, he's fun, he even showed me the old warehouse!" Scout pointed out in his hiding spot. I scoffed. "So you are favouring him over me, your own sister?"Jay spoke softly. "He isn't favouring me over you, he just needs someone playful to be-with." I let my lip draw back into a snarl, I faced my brother. "You better not get into trouble," I warned him. Scout's grey fur trembled. I spun around and pinned Jay underneath me. Surprise filled his eyes as his jaw dropped with shock."And you better keep your word of keeping him safe." I released him and stormed away, trying to get away from those words.

"Is she gonna be like this forever, Jay?

"No, Scout, she's just going through a phase, she's sensitive you know, after your father's death, now she's the leader of the Western and eastern Alleys, a lot of weight on her shoulders." I broke myself into a sprint. Jay has been my friend since I could walk, he knew me more than most.

That's why I need to get away.

Because his words were true.

Finally!
You guys don't know this, but I wrote this part 5 years ago.
I have been trying to write this story for 5 years. But I never got to finish it.
So from now on, everything will be written straight from my mind.
As if I never written them before.
So even I don't know what happens.
I mean I do, like a gist of it. I know the storyline the spine of it but I don't know the fat.
So now I can't stop writing it.
I am very grateful for the comments and votes.
I like to know what my readers think of the book. So keep commenting!

Also, there is going to be a new cast of characters.Coming up recently my brain is a bit foggy on ideas.
So if you can suggest some natural names for cats I will use them, while giving you all the credit.

So if you guys want to comment under the hashtag
#catnames in the comment section below.

Thanks a lot!
