"So, who's throat do I get to slit first?"

We stood facing eachother, our fur bristling. Jay blocked me with his tail and spoke to Shard.
" We don't need to fight this out, just tell us where Frost is and we will be on our way." Shard snorted.
"And you think I would tell you? You have a lot of guts to say that, the same guts that will be spilling on the floor." She hissed.

She leaped at Jay and the two wrestled it out. When she had Jay pinned I swiped my claws at her shoulders and knocked her off her fee, pinning her underneath me.
"Avenge me!" She yelled.

Then another body slammed into me from the side and began wrestling.
The cat was a red cat with thick fur and yellow eyes.

From the corner of my own eyes I could see the rest of them fighting their own cat.

Violet who has been quiet. The whole time was fighting a black tom. Her brother a cream color coated tom.
Taz, a grey spotted tom and Wasp, Shard.

When I managed to pin my opponent I noticed Wasp struggling with Shard on her back.
I ran over and drag Shard off and we faced off.
" You have quite a weak group. My experienced fighters will eliminate them in no time. She snarled.
I let out a growl. "Don't underestimate us. Now again I ask, where is Frost?" We began circling eachother our tails lashing.
"Patches was right, you are stubborn even after some one says no. That makes you two things, dangerous and stupid. No wonder he left."
I froze.

" You know my brother?!" I exclaimed.
" We were practically best friends."
"You're lying." I snaped.
"Believe what you want, doesn't erase the fact that I know his name. "
"What did you do to him?" I growled softly. "Absolutely Nothing." I let out a yell and pounced at her. Ripping her shoulders. She kicked hard me in the stomach and I toppled over in pain.
Shard swiped at my back and sank my teeth at her ankle. She shrieked and banged my head with a paw.
I released her then leaped at her, pinning her on her back. Raking her soft belly with my claws.

"You'll suffer for what you did to Patches!" I promised.
Shard blocked my claws.
"I did nothing!" She defended herself.
"Liar!" I snarled.

She clawed at my forearms and rolled away when I hissed in pain and released her.
Then she knocked me down and pinned me down. Her pink nose was inches from mine, her green eyes wet with tears.

" You think you know everything Nut but you don't! I liked Patches, he was the only friend I had.
You should be more concerned with what he did me! He left me, hurt me with words more foul than rat poisoning. So you think I am the attacker here?" She released me with a shove and walked off signaling her cats to follow.

She turned back at me with a frosty glare.
"Like I said, stubborn and stupid." Then told us to leave and never come back.

I lead Violet, Jay, Taz and Wasp back to the surface, not looking back.

When we arrived at the shelter it was noon and the sun was about to shift into sinking into the horizon when Wasp stopped me. Fear reflected in hee eyes."Thank you for the outing Nut but I don't think I can survive another one." I gave her a small nod.
"You may go home Wasp."

"Thank you!" Relief flooded her eyes.
"I'll take you home." Taz offered. His gaze cloaked with admiration.
Wasp gave him a dreamy look.
I hid a chuckle as we watch the two leave.

"At least that solves our Wasp problem. " Violet meowed.
Jay let out a sigh of relief.
"I can breathe now. " I snorted a laugh.
" You guys-"

"Nutmeg!" Cried a voice. I turned to the entrance to see Catnip with a worried yet excited look.
"Your mother just kitted!"
My tail shot into the air.
"Really?" Hardly Believing the news.
"Yes! Come inside she's waiting for you!"
Heart soaring, I bounded inside and made my way to my mother's nest at the back of the main room.
She layed on her side, her front paws promting her chin while her tail wrapped around her nose. Acting like a barrier in front of her belly.
At the sound of my aproching feet Peper looked up and her tired face brightened a little.
"Nutmeg, you're okay. "
I muzzled her forehead.
"Of course I am mama, you need me."
I let out a soft purr as she gave me a lick.
