Frost POV

The sun was slipping behind the buildings when I sneaked out from the underground tunnels.
Cold winds buffered my coat, and I kept a fast pace down the busy streets. I came up to a red brick building, climbing up the fire escape I entered the balcony where she was waiting.

The snowy white she cat beamed when she saw him. "Frost! You came back!" Frost purred. "Of course I did."
I came every night and watched the sunset, talking about our past lives.

"Your mother gave you that scar?" Snowflake exclaimed. I slid out my claws at the painful memory. "Yes, I accidentally clawed at my brother's face and my mother was very upset so she gave me the scar."
I felt Snowflake rest her tail around my shoulder as she sat closer to me. "Sounds like you never had a good kithood." She murmured.  I breathe in her sweet, soapy, house cat scent.
"I didn't." Sighing.
"Well at least you didn't have a nagging mother. Mine always refrained me from going out in the streets." I gave her a sharp look. "Why is that?"
"It is dangerous." She shuddered.
I let out a chuckle." You really think that?
" Why you're  not sacred too?" Her green eyes narrowed.
I shrugged.  "Why should I be when every one fears me?" Snowflake gazes at me. "I don't think you are scary, you're just misunderstood. "
I let out a purr.
"At least someone understands." I say.

When the moon was at it's  peak, I left Snowflake to return to the underground tunnels.
" Frost!" Hissed a familiar voice.
I turned, it was my niece Shard. The green eyed silver tabby stormed over to me, her eyes ablaze.
" You of all cats should know it is not best to be distracted, especially in a time like this!" She accused me.

I frowned. "I am not distracted Shard. Now what are you doing out here? Shouldn't you be training with the others? It seems like you have become quite the hypocrite, don't you think?" I sneered.

Shard lashed her tail.
" That doesn't work on me anymore, Frost."
Then she smirked. "I wonder what the others may think of you when I tell them that you have a she cat who you tell your secrets to, like a weak cat."

This got my attention.

I slid out my claws and let out a low menacing growl."Say that, if you dare, and I'll rip your fur to shreds."

Shard's eyes widdened. "You wouldn't kill your own niece would you?"
"Let's not discuss what I would or would not do."
"You know, she would never love you. No one would want to love a cat like you."
I glared at her. "You don't know that."

" Oh but I do. I have seen it  happen before to other cats. Why should you be any diffrent?"
I let out a hiss.
Shard scoffed. "I'll keep your little secret, but secrets can't stay hidden forever. One day she'll find out who you really are, and I 'll tell you I told you so. "

Jay POV

I was taking a break from my night shift when I spotted white fur slipping  behind a building. I draw in the scent, instantly feeling my pelt prick.
Frost.

I scrambled down from the roof, and bumped into my sister who was ready to take her shift.
"What's wrong Jay?" She asked me, noticing my worried face. "I spotted Frost near by."
Her unusual purple eyes widden.
"He's leaving, I'm going to follow. If he comes back you know the drill." Violet nodded. "Don't let him see you."

"I won't.
I gave  her a soft resuring nuzzle to the cheek before rushing off.

I kept a good distance away from Frost, fortunately the wind was on my side, leaving me downwind of the murderous cat.

There were times when I was sure he was going to see me but he never did.
I managed to get a glimpse of his face.
Is he smiling?

He climbed up to the balcony of a red bricked house,  where I heard a familiar meow.
" Frost! You came back!" I froze from my spot under the balcony.
Snowflake?
I instantly remembered the fluffy white cat with glossy fur, and bright feared eyes when he rescued her from a dog weeks ago.
