Nutmeg POV

"Alright, let's see you walk."
Willy placed me down on the ground from his lap. He had removed the bandages from my paw that was twisted back on the mountain.
Now after a month being in the home of the Farm cats I can now finally get rid of the bandage.

I walked around the room, testing my paw, putting weight on it. When I realized it didn't hurt at all, I ran and made a leap for the couch, my tail shooting up into the air.
I let out a purr of excitement. Storm the leader of the Farm cats smiled. "Take it easy Nutmeg, you don't want to hurt yourself again."
I sat down with a blissful sigh.
"I know, it is just so happy to be mobile again."

Storm chuckled. "How about we use that energy of yours? A couple of us are collecting some of our kill from this morning hunt, you are free to help out." He offered.

"Oh yes, I would love to," I replied.

The hunting party was considered 8 cats. With Storm at the front, we set out across the grassy field towards the hill in front of us.

"Alright," Storm began. "Everyone will be partnered up, each group will go either North, South East or West." He decided. The cats paired up, I paired with Storm everyone went off to their directions.

Storm and I went east to near the mountain where I twisted my paw.
I could not help but stare at what would have been my burial site.

"It must have been terrifying." I heard him meow. I nodded."It was."
We followed along the mountainside until we found a small waterfall that gushed down into a river.

I watched Storm lean over the edge to take a drink. After watching him for a while I copied his position to take a sip.
The water was cold to my tongue and instantly refreshing.

"You said you are from the city? Is the city on the mountain?" He asked.
I shook my head as he began to sniff around for prey he hid earlier.
"The city is beyond the mountain. After you pass it there are the suburbs then after that, you are in the city." I explained.

Storm found his buried mice and set them beside me for safekeeping as he went on to find more prey.
" What's the city like?"
"What is it like? Oh, it is totally opposite from here. It's cramped, no big spaces, buildings on every side of you. And the noise, definitely not the most peaceful place to live. Not a lot of prey either, especially in the winter, cats become so desperate they fight with whatever little strength they have for food." I told him.

Storm's amber eyes sadden. "Sounds like a life full of sorrow no wonder you wanted to run away from all of that."

Runaway? Is that what I'm doing?

Memories of my cats, my friends and family accusing me of running away.

I shook my head to clear it all.

No, I have a mission, I came here to find a new home for everyone and that is what I will do!

"Hey, Storm can I ask you something?"
Storm turned. "About what?"

"How many cats could thrive here?"

Snowflake POV

Scars.

Inflicted by pain, sorrow and claws,
Are all I can think of.

After my little night out in the city, as a very spoiled cat, I quickly fell victim to the rogues that swarm the city.
Despite being a cat with claws and fangs I couldn't fight them off, only to beg them to leave me alone.
