Chapter 8: Grenades

~HARRY'S POV~

the only thing i kept thinking was leave me alone. all i wanted was for my mom to go away from my door, to stop begging me to come out.

me- i'm fine mum please

Anne- i do not believe that, come out here

i sat on the floor trying to figure out what to do with my life now. You don't understand how fucked it feels for you to plan and build your whole life around something, and then it just doesn't turn out the way it was supposed to happen. my phone began to buzz obnoxiously and loud, i quickly hit ignore not thinking to much of the fact that Louis was calling me from his UK number. i fell back on my bed and shut my eyes and began to fall into a dreamless dark slumber. only  to wake up to the  commotion downstairs.

~TAMMY'S POV~

when i got out of the car i faced my old house carrying Darcy in my arms. i noticed a new family living there, a little girl ran out and chased her dog around. i swallowed to myself, trying not to think about how my own mother deserted me in my time of need. i approached the ever so familiar house. i slowly turned to the cherry-wood tree where i had my first kiss with Harry. so many memories flooded into my head and i shook vigorously trying to get them out. they all stopped and turned to face me. 

Louis- are you okay?

Liam- you cant back down now... we're in front of his house.

darcy squeezed my hand. 

me- I'm.. I'm fine.

Paul knocked on the door and

Gemma opened it. i hid behind the other boss and listened to them greet each other and talk about harry when she invited them in. i braced myself and smiled at her.

Gemma- the nerve of some people

me- nice to see you too G

Gemma- no! do you know what you did to my brother?

me- i... i Gemma

Gemma- he loved you! and you just threw him away! 

Darcy buried her face in my neck obviously scared.

thats when Anne Cox walked downstairs.

Anne- Tammy?

i smiled weakly at hr, fighting the urge to cry

she rushed to me and pulled me into a hug

Anne- where have you been? i... I'm so glad you're back

she was like a second mom to me, just only better than my first.

Anne- my you've grown

it wasn't a lie. my boobs had went up a size and they were already big enough. my hips got thicker and i wasn't even mad about that part, although i was still pretty curvy before everything happened. Gemma rolled her eyes and stormed into the kitchen.

Louis reached out and grabbed Darcy trying to not let any attention to reach the girl but he failed.

Anne- and who is this little goddess?

Darcy slammed her hands over her eyes. in her mind if she cant see you, you cant see her. it was quite unusual behavior for her, because she was very outgoing.

Anne- no, i promise i wont hurt you... whats your name sweetie?

Darcy- Darshy

Niall- she means Darcy.

Harry's mothers eyes penetrated into my soul. looking me up and down as if trying to figure out some mystery

Anne- is she... Your daughter?

Liam- well uh....

i had no reply. Gemma had re-entered the room and she was sending my a death glare. i let the silence fill the room. Anne's eyes widened as she recognized the resemblance between us. as she began to open her mouth Gemma exploded.

Gemma- WOW! you leave my brother to go get knocked up by some worthless American!?!

i couldn't hold my tears back anymore and i began to cry

Anne- enough Gemma

Zayn cleared his throaght awkwardly looking at the stairs.

Harry- whats going...

his emerald gaze fell upon me, automatically causing my breath to hitch resulting in me chocking on my own tears.

Harry- what are you doing here?

louis- haz! i missed you

he ran into his arms and hugged him

Harry- i wasn't gone that long Lou

he aproached me slowly as if i was some animal at the zoo.

i was shaking but my eyes never left his.

he raised his fingers to my face and ran his thumb across my cheeks.

Harry- why are you here?

me- i couldn't let you give up on your career... your fans

Harry- correction. i gave up on you

and that ladies and gentlemen, is the sound of a heartbreaking.  it felt terrible. like someone shoved something into my heart and soul. like a grenade launched just when you think you are about to make a peace treaty. i stumbled back slightly... currently questioning my existence.
