The nerves that seemed to have disapeared had now reveled itself once again. We all sat at the table in complete silence no one making a move toward the food nicely laid out in front of them.

'Maybe they want the guest to serve themselves first? No no I can't assume that. If I start serving myself now and I was wrong that would be very rude. Maybe they pray first? Maybe they wan't me to get a conversation going?'

"S-so do y-you guys pray?" I said leaving my thoughts before realizing the situation had changed. Everyone turn their focus to me with unterly confused looks and... food stuffed in their mouths. I would have focused on their sheer eating skills but I had just said the stupidest thing on the planet.

They are already in the middle of their meal and I asked them if they prayed! I was so lost in my thoughts I didn't even look back at the situation I was in before blurting the first thing that popped into my head.

They'll probably think I'm really weird when I was asking a relatively normal question. If only I said 'before you eat.' No that wouldn't work either. They would think I'm an idiot. I ask the to pray before they eat when they are in the middle of eating. That's just as awkward.

"I-I m-men't before meals. I-I was l-lost in though a-and." Natsu put a hand on my shoulder, pulling my focus from the perplexed faces across from me to his own. "Isn't she funny mom."

Grandine totally forgot about what happened and in a second she pulled out a camera and started taking photos. After dancing around with the camera in her fantasy she leaned in and whispered to me."O.M.G. He is totally touching you. This relationship is like on the next level now, right?"

My look of confused disgust was form hearing a mother say one of the most annoying things on the planet: OMG. Which was ten times worse sense she split it up by letter. That and the mixture of my newly red tinted cheeks made for a weird look.

"Mom! What did ya do to Luce?!?" Natsu said shaking my shoulders. "Lucy what's wrong?" Wendy said with deep concern. She rushed over worriedly but ended up tripping... on absolutely nothing.

'I am so done with this family... they are all so... ya' Grandine, once again, started to take more pictures. This is when I realized myself that all the fear I once had is now gone.

'What a nice world they live in.' I thought with a hint of a smile. Grandine settled herself and sat back down, along with an embarrassed Wendy. I looked over to Natsu once again to see him smiling and laughing.

"N-Natsu! Slow down!" Grandine said already getting rowdy again. On the other hand she had a point. I didn't understand how Natsu could fit that much food down his throat, not to mention the pace he goes at. If I wait any longer to serve myself all the food will be gone, and Grandine cooked a lot of food.

Natsu looked over at Grandine confused. "bdfoh sihfdh?" (Just pretend that is actually speakable. I meant it to be gibberish sense Natsu's mouth is full.) "I-I think he said 'but why?'" Wendy quietly added surprising Grandine and I.

"We need you to stop. We don't want you to choke honey." Grandine continued with a new understanding. After Nattsu finished swallowing he responded, "Then how am I going to eat?" He then shoved another piece of food in his mouth followed by another.

Grandine shook her head. "Men. Their all idiots." I felt a slight urge to laugh at this family.

"So... Lucy." Grandine spoke clasping her hands together. "Y-yes M'am?"

'Great job Lucy. You haven't said a single sentence sense you got here without stuttering. Nice first impression.'

"Tell me about yourself." Tell her what? I racked my brain for answers. My favorite color? My life story? It's not like her question made a lot of sense.

Grandine seemed to notice my confusion and continued. "Well I've already heard a lot about you from Natsu-"

"Mom! Don't say that." Natsu said, actually pausing from devouring the food that was left.

"Do you do any afterschool activities?" Grandine continued, ignoring Natsu.

"No."

"Okay, well I heard you're really smart, you study a lot."

"N-not exactly, I just already know the matirial."

"Boy, your parents must be proud." Ya right. One of them's dead and the other... well let's just say he doesn't get proud.

"Ya.. I guess."

"Any siblings?"

"One."

"Older, younger?"

"Younger."

"Aw that's cute. I'd love to have a little sibling. A girl or a boy?"

"Girl."

"You get along?"

"We used too."

"You have a fight?"

"No... we just never see eachother anymore.."

"Oh."

Natsu intervined again. "Mom stop pestering her. It sounds like an interagation."

"I just want to get to know your future girlfriend."

"Mom!" Natsu spoke once again.

"Sorry." Grandine turned to me this time and repeated, "Sorry if it seemed like I was pestering you. I just want to know about you that's all."

"It's alright Miss, I don't mind."

"Oh please sweetie, call me Grandine." The dinner continued with light conversation until Natsu tapped me on the shoulder.

"Come on Lucy let's go to my room."

"B-but I haven't been excused ye-" Natsu grabbed my hand and pulled me up.

"T-thank you for the dinner." I said as I was dragged up the stairs. That was crazy.

"Sorry, my mom's a little weird." Natsu spoke quietly pausing at the top of the steps.

"That's okay."

"Anyways come on lets do something. You like videogames?"

"Sure." Well I dont actually play videogames but it doesn't hurt to try. We continued to play tell late. Wendy came in and played too so we had more of a chance to talk.

After thanking them once again Natsu decided to walk me home. We exited the houes and got ready to head to mine.

In the end it was a nice night. That is until..
