Just Before a Sunrise, There is a Dark Night

Chapter 3

"So the phone is here," Robin says as he checks my phone for the location his phone. I nod. "Well let's go." We park the car and look around. Robin scoffs. "I am going to kill that boy." I chuckle. "Is that why you're scoping out the place to find a mortuary?"

Robin shakes his head. "What a meticulous man." Robin continues to look around and I throw a crumpled up receipt at him. "Hey Grim reaper, ER is this way." I call Robin's phone but there is no answer. We walk inside and its chaotic, reminded me of the battle field. We look around and we don't see that boy.

"Call again." I nod at Robin and called again. I called and we hear it towards the end of the hall. We walked down and found that the ringing was coming from inside a pocket of a doctors coat.

I look at her back and I noticed that it was a blonde woman. I look back at Robin and he gives me a weird look. "Call again." I nod. The doctor stops what she's doing and answers the phone.

"Hello?" I over hear her say. I walk up to hear and said the same thing. "Hello." She turns around and I gasp. I see this beautiful blonde haired green eyed woman. I couldn't get my eyes off her. Thats when Robin nudges me. The doctor scoffs and looks at the phone. She stands up.

"You Big Boss?" I lower down my phone. "Yes, but why do you have that phone?" She puts the phone back in her pocket. "The patient left his phone with me." She looks at Robin then looks down at the patient she was treating. "Are you his guardian?" I chuckle at her snarky and sassy comments.

"Im not the patient's guardian, but I am the guardian of the phone's owner." She ignored me and continued to treat her patient. I chuckled and thats when she gasps as she looks above the patient's bed.

"Where did the motorcycle patient go?" The nurse next to her gasps. "Did he go to X-rays?" I push the nurse to the side and smiled. "Sorry please move to the side." I put my hands at the end of the bed railing and leaned close to the doctor.

"Who am I speaking with right now?" She turns around and scoffs. "Are you perhaps... the people who wanted to send him to the mortuary?, If so why would I tell you who I am?"

I gasp pretending to be hurt. "The mortuary?" She nods. I chuckle. "There seems to be some kind of misunderstanding here." "Nurse Tink, please tell these men to go wait outside. Also let security team know to make sure they aren't causing any trouble." I give her a straight face.

Was she really kicking us out? "NOW!" She screams. "You can't be here, please go wait over there," the nurse says pushing me away. I laugh as she's pushing me away. She then grabs Robin and they push us outside the room.

I look back and thats when I catch the doctor looking back towards me. Our eyes lock and for some odd reason it felt like time stopped. The door closed and I sort of snapped out of the trans I was in. I lean back against the wall and tried to forget about our eyes locking.

"By the way he left the phone with the doctor it seems that he ran away." Robin sighs. "Yes it does." I nod. "We should go look for him outside." He nods. "Im sure he hasn't gone far." I nod but kept my eyes on the door. "You can go on ahead." I didn't notice that I was smiling like an idiot until I look over at Robin and he's giving me a straight I face.

Oh shoot, he can't know that I thought the doctor was Beautiful, he will make fun of me non stop. That's when I grab my stomach. "Ow it hurts," I say as I try to grab on to Robin. "My stomach started to hurt, I think its my appendix." Robin looks so annoyed. "The appendix isn't even there Killian."  move my hand to the other side and Robin is still standing there annoyed.

"Why Robin is this happening to me?" He sighs as I touch another part. "Still not it." I scoff as I stood up. "Not cool Robin, I'll remember this in the future, lets go." I said as I touched his shoulder and walked away. He chuckles and follows right behind me.

Emma's POV

"Emma those two looked like gangsters." I scoff as I hear Tink say this. "Don't worry, if they come back and try hurt us I can use a knife to defend ourselves,  I mean I can use it better than them." The patient looks at me and gives me a nervous look. "Oh my God, I am so sorry thats not what I meant." Tink giggles and I shake my head. As I continue to work on this patient's sutures I started to think of that man.

Not gonna lie but he was handsome, very handsome. He had blue eyes and an excellent bone structure. I mean he was just handsome. I couldn't help but act sassy with him because I didn't want him to know I was attracted to him. I mean thats wrong, we just met and besides he could be a crazy person.

What if he actually is a gangster? Or worse a drug Lord. I don't know but I doubt I will be seeing him again so there is no reason for me to worry. He was nice to see but that's all that this was, a casual meeting between a stranger and a doctor.
