Chapter 10

Weeks later

Killian has been gone for a couple of weeks and that's because of his missions. It kills me that I haven't seen him but I know that he's alive because he messages me everyday and it so happens that today we will have another go at a date.

I had been living at the hospital for 5 days because of a case we've had so I haven't had the chance to look decent. I had to get home to shower since I am going to see him tonight. I walked out of the hospital in sweats and my hair in a bun. I stretch and sigh.

I'm so excited to see Killian. As I look around the parking lot I see a familiar face, my face dropped, it was Killian. He starts to walk towards me and I cover my face. "Hi Emma." I'm dying of embarrassment. "You said we were going to see each other at night." He laughs as he takes my hands away from my face.

"I got in earlier." I put my hands over his eyes. "I look horrible, don't look at me." He laughs. "I know you do." I scoff as I back away. "You weren't supposed to agree with me punk." He smiles. "So how about I take you home?" I scoff. "After you insult me then you want to be a gentleman?" He laughs.

"You're always beautiful even if you don't wash your hair." I squint my eyes. "Very funny mister big boss, you're lucky I'm tired if not I would reject your offer and would have walked home." He laughs. "Come on." I scoff as I get in his car.

After the 20 minute drive we arrived to my home. "Welcome to my little home." He smiles. "Looks very homey." I nod. "Well make yourself at home, I need to take a shower." He nods. I put all my things down and that's when his phone starts to ring.

He looks at it and sighs. "Will you excuse me?" I nod as he steps outside. I sighed, he's leaving again. I go and sit down and look over my mail that I had picked up on my way in. I look over and he walks in. I sigh not even looking at him.

"Hey it's ok, I actually got a call I need to make my way back to the hospital." He sighs. "Oh really, I thought we were going on a date later today?" I look up at him. "You're not going away?" He shakes his head. "No I just received amazing news, I'm not going on another mission for quite some time."

I smile, he then walks towards the door. "But I mean if you're busy I can..." I smile. "No I just..." He laughs then sighs. "I'm sorry, I know you're used to me bailing on you and it's natural for you to act like that." I look down and that's when he lifts up my chin.

"Can you forgive me?" I half smile. "There's nothing to forgive, I mean we aren't anything right?" He smiles. "We can, in the future if you want?" I smile and nod. He let's go and smiles. He is inches from my lips and I start to get nervous. I get up and laugh.

"Ok well if we are going to go watch a movie or something I believe it's time for me to take a shower, remember that I have dirty hair?" He laughs and pretends to be disgusted. "Right, wouldn't want my hair to be like that." I gasp. "It's not contagious." He laughs.

"I'll wait for you right here." I smile. "Be right back." I walk to my room to get my stuff then made my way to the bathroom. I turned on the shower and got in. As I was shampooing my hair the water stops. I look at the shower head and for some reason it looked like something was stuck because water was leaking from the top of the shower head.

I still had shampoo in my hair and I was dying, how can I finish my shower without water. I try to move it but it doesn't work. That's when I hear a knock. "Emma is everything ok?" I grab a towel, and wrapped it around my body. I was dying of embarrassment.

I open the door and he gives me a confused look. "What happened?" I chuckle. "I know you may not be a plumber but something happened to the shower head." He smiles. "Let me check." I stand behind him as he starts to check it.

I laugh as he's trying to figure it out. "I think I got it..." That's when it breaks and water sprays everywhere. I'm trying to reach for the knobs as Killian is trying to put the shower head back on. We are both soaking wet and that's when I shut off the water.

We are both standing there and I look at him and he is super wet. I cover my face. "I am so sorry." He laughs. "No I'm sorry I broke your shower head." I laugh. "You're all wet because of me." He laughs again. "Don't sweat it, I have extra clothes in my car." I smile.

"I'll figure it out, go change wouldn't want you to catch a cold." He smiles. "Maybe I want to get a cold, because if I get sick then I have to go see my doctor." I blush like crazy. "The army doctor." I give him a straight face and he laughs. "Of course it would be you." I scoff. "Ok then get going, I need to finish showering," I say as I push him out of the shower.

I decided to just grab a big cup and use it to fill it with water so I can finish washing my hair. Once I finished, washing out the shampoo from my hair, I made my way to my room to change. When I got out I see Killian sitting on the couch.

"Hey sorry about that." He smiles. "It's ok." I smile. "I'm sure you don't feel like going out on a date right?" He smiles. "We can stay here, and order food." I smile and nod. "You don't mind not going out?" He shakes his head.

"You like sushi?" I smile, "never tried it." He gasps. "Well you're going to love it." I smile. I am so going to look forward in spending the evening together, I just hope no one ruins it.
