"Tune out the static sound
of the city that never sleeps,
Here in the moment
On the dark side
Of the screen."
~
"You are my get away
You are my favourite place
We put the world away
We get so disconnected"
~~~~~~~~~~
It was just like that.
Static. The sound of a voice rang through my ears as the words spoken to me began to set in,
"One Direction has confirmed 5 Seconds of Summer as their opening act for their Take Me Home tour. Congratulations. We would like to take this opportunity to inform you that this information will not be released into the public until February 14 of next year."
I was literally speechless. This sounds cheesy but words failed to form on my tongue. No matter how hard I tried to reply to the static sound on the end of the phone nothing happened.
"Mr Hemmings?" The voice questioned again.
"Oh, sorry, just a little shocked that's all." I was thankful for my returned ability to speak but embarrassed at my selection of word choice.
"Do you understand this is to be kept to the utmost secrecy?" The man, whose name I'd missed at the start, questioned from the other end.
"Yes, I do, I do."
"Great, we have organised for you all to fly over to meet the boys before this date. The times for your flight are yet to be confirmed. Most likely within the next week."
My brain was literally about to explode. What the actual hell.
"Sounds amazing." I choked out, surprised.
"Great, we'll be in contact." The line went dead. Leaving me confused, excited and shocked.
~Saturday (the next day, at about 12pm)~
"This is INSANE TO THE MEMBRANE." Calum yelled.
Once it was socially appropriate to call my friends I did. This was more then a crazy dream.
"Well, this is weird." Ashton's eyes where wide as he sat himself on the corner of my bed, twirling his drumsticks between his fingers. We where all cramped into my room, McFly and Blink playing from my phone in the background.
"So, we're going to London and actually meeting One Direction?!" Michael asked as he continued to scroll through our twitter feed."
"Yes." I said, pointing the end of the pen I was twirling between my fingers at Michael.
"After we play our show at the Enmore tonight?" Calum asked again, as if he was testing my knowlege.
"No shit." I replied shoving him, hard in the shoulder.
"The Enmore. What the actual hell!!" Ashton repeated as he shook his head in amazement.
"Don't forget Jepson is filming our video to "Out of My Limit". Michael reminded us all. I'd totally forgotten. This was exciting. I couldn't believe it.
"What times the show?!" I asked as I went to change the song that was playing from my phone.
"Doors open at 7pm we gotta be there by 4pm." Ash, said as he pushed his glasses further up his nose. I could tell he'd checked on his emails because his glasses reflected the image on his phone screen.
