BAILEY POV
I ran out of Mikaela's house as fast as I could, tears streamed down my face as I manoeuvred myself blindly through the crowds of dancing people. I had no idea how I was going to get home. I was planning to stay the night at Mik's but at this very moment in time I couldn't think of anything worse.
Once I was out on the curb I pulled my phone out of my back pocket. The digital numbers read 9:30pm. Good, hopefully mum or dad could come and pick me up.
I balanced on the edge of the curb as I waited for someone to pick up the phone. The hollow dial tone echoed through my brain as I began to feel the cool evening air seep through my jumper and onto my skin. I shivered as someone picked up the phone. Relief warmed my insides as I heard Mum's voice on the other end.
"Hello...." I moaned into the phone.
"What happened?" Mum instantly questioned. I could practically see her worry as I pinch my eyes shut in frustration.
"Something happened. It's complicated. Can you pleeeeease come and pick me up?" I asked drawing out the 'e' in please for as long as humanly possible. I held my breath in anticipation as I waited for her response.
"Sure, gorgeous. Are you positive you're alright?" She still sounded worried. Until she actually saw me she would remain worried.
"100%." I smiled down the phone line.
We said goodbye and I texted her the address then I was left alone. In the dark. In the silence of the night.

LUKE POV
I still felt numb as Bailey disappeared out of sight. Ashton and Mikaela where standing against the frame of the open door, both of them had their eyes fixated on me. I had no idea what to say or do. I really only wanted to do one thing and that was leave. I wanted to escape into my room and play the guitar, to isolate myself in my room.
"This has been fun guys." I lied as I set the cup of still hot tea on the carpet beside the stairs.
I didn't bother waiting for a response as I walked back down the stairs and out of the front door. I walked down the empty street until I could no longer hear the thumping and yells from the party. No a sound echoed in the darkness as I continued to walk, scuffing the toes of my shoes against the concrete. It wasn't long until I didn't want to walk anymore. Beside the road was an empty block with several large trees in the middle. I walked into the block, I could feel the wet grass brush against my exposed ankles. I made my way over to the biggest tree in the middle of the plot and sat down leaning against the tree's trunk. I could feel the wettness of the grass seep through the bum of my jeans, but at that moment I couldn't have cared less.
I looked up, stars lit up the black sky like a beacon of light in a dark room. The moon was the shape of a fingernail and the glowing whiteness captivated my eyes. Soon, after sitting still and thinking for a while lyrics once again began floating into my mind.
We can run down the streets with stars in our eyes we can tear down this town in the dark of the night.
The words weren't much but they fitted together like pieces of a puzzle.
I wish everything could be pieced together like a puzzle. I felt at this point in time like my life's complete puzzle was being pulled apart piece by piece and the pieces where then cut so nothing fitted togther anymore. There was one piece, however, that kept on changing shape, being cut smaller and smaller. Evey cut distanced the piece from ever fitting together with anything. Take a guess who that puzzle piece represented.
Bailey.
