BAILEY POV

I can honestly say I spent at least $158 in Forever 21. It was amazing and I was now officially 1/3 of the way to being totally broke and we hadn't even bee in the states for 24 hours. The sun was setting as we left the shopping strip, plastic bags weighing down our tired, jet lagged arms. We'd only really gotten a chance to visit 3 or 4 shops before we mutually decided it was time to head back to the hotel.

"That was awesome!!" I said, taking a sip from the Starbucks coffee I held in my left hand. I'm not the person to enjoy shopping, the only exception being when I was with friends.

"Forever 21 is great!!" Mik agreed as we stopped for the lights to change, watching the insane yellow taxi's whizz about the road like over excited bee's.

"And cheap." I added as the red man turned into a green walking man.

"But that singlet top that they called the Union Jack remix flag was hilarious. It was the Australian flag." I laughed as we began walking along the concrete strip towards our hotel, which now could be seen rising above the numerous palm trees that lined the side of the road.

"Well, that was probably a mistake." She replied as she dumped her empty coffee cup in the bin.

"Probably." I agreed as I pushed my way through the spiral, glass revolving doors.

"I'm beginning to feel like i've been hit by a bus." Mik complained as we crossed the shiny floor towards the lift. I pressed the button, causing the up arrow to illuminate and the sound of grinding leavers to follow.

"So what are we doing tomorrow?" I asked as the lift arrived and the doors dinged open, revealing the millions of mirrors inside.

"It's a surprise." Mikaela grinned cheekily as she pressed the number 5.

The concept of riding in a lift always scared me. The concept of being trapped in a box with no air supply always hit a nerve.

"Why can't you tell me?" I groaned as the doors opened up to reveal our level.

"Because, that would ruin the surprise!!" Mikaela pointed out as we took a left down yet another hallway. Everything looked the same and I wouldn't blame someone if they got lost trying to find their room.

"True." I agreed reluctantly as I rummaged around in my back pocket for the slim, white room key.

Once we where inside I crashed. I was exhausted, flopping down listlessly on top of my bed. Mikaela did the same, a tired silence filled the room as we just lay on top of the covers amongst our shopping.

"Want to order room service?" I asked, not bothering to lift my head. I was to exhausted. I reckon I'd had about 6 hours worth of quality sleep in the last 32 hours.

"That sounds like a fab idea."

I reached over to grab the phone from our shared bedside table, looking up in the small, black handbook the number for the onsite kitchen service.

"What do you want?" I asked, throwing Mik the menu. The paper failing through the air, landing not exactly where I aimed it.

"Well that was awful." Mikaela teased as she leaned off the bed to grab the piece of paper, groaning with the effort.

"Pad thai is where it's at." She decided, handing the menu back to me so I could order.

15 minutes later the amazing smell of thai food and honey chicken filled our little hotel room. We made do with no table, eating our dinner on the floor, crossed legged. I had set out a spare white towel in the centre of the circle, it was great. Our own little picnic.
