Luna laid back in the bathtub, bubbles covering her body from anybody that happened to come in, although nobody ever did.

Ember had helped her with her math homework, which meant the math wizard did them himself. No matter to her, she was done with it and didn't have to do it at a later date.

"Luna!" Her eyes opened as she heard her mother climbing the stairs, and without thinking, slid down so that only her top lip and up was visible to anybody.

The door opened revealing her mom with white dust on her apron and face, and a letter in her hand.

"I just got the letter from your doctor," she spoke, trying not to squeal or scream.

Luna leaned up, allowing her whole face to be visible so that she could speak, "awesome, can you let me get out first?"

Her mother looked around a moment before laughing, a little awkwardly and nodding. She walked out and closed the door.

Luna sighed, taking another moment before getting out of the tub and wrapping a towel around herself.

She took cautious steps to the mirror. She didn't like to look at herself, especially without a wig or beanie covering the shaven head she had.

Her eyes caught sight of the small freckles that scattered across from cheek to cheek. Her hazel eyes catching themselves for just a moment.

She hated when she was like this, when she came back from the hospital, she would stand in front of the mirror for the longest time, judging herself.

Shaking her head, she walked into her room, holding the towel up as she went to lock the door. The moment it was locked, she let it drop and walked to her dresser to get undergarments.

She tried her best to keep her eyes off of the mirror on the opposite wall of her room, but she failed, looking across at herself as she pulled on shorts.

Her eyes looked over herself, criticizing the worst parts about herself. Like the small muffin-top above her shorts. She'd tried to get rid of it several times, but due to her being in the hospital mostly, it always failed.

She continued to have a staring contest with herself, and after about five minutes, tears brimmed her eyes.

However, she was pulled from her thoughts by the vibration of her phone. She grabbed her oversize T-shirt and walked to the bathroom, grabbing her phone off of the counter before looking at her phone.
