Ember looked at the message that Luna had sent.

'No, I'm not, just trying to sort things out.'

Then another.

'I promise.'

Ember didn't take but a moment to type out his message, knowing exactly what she probably felt like. He was still worried about her.

'It's okay, just update me, okay?'

'Okay.'

Ember put his phone down, screen up as he looked down at Dragon. He had been keeping the pup in his room as he stayed with his grandparents.

He didn't want his grandparents giving it away.

"Why don't you ask her?" Ember looked up to see his grandfather staring into the room, making Ember look away from him.

"Ask who what?" He asked, feigning stupidity. It wasn't the smartest idea, but it was the only one he had.

"You know who and what I am talking about," the elder man said, walking to Ember's bed and sitting on it.

Dragon immediately crawled to his lap.

"Okay, then who and what is it?" Ember asked, laying across the bed and letting his legs dangle off the side.

"Asking that Luna girl to prom," his grandfather said without hesitation, laughing at Ember's face. Ember was still trying to figure out how to do it.

"Wouldn't it just be worthless to text it?" He asked. Most girls liked big surprise prom proposals, and although Luna didn't seem like that kind of girl, he didn't want to risk it.

Ember shook his head, getting the thoughts out of his head immediately, "I mean, no, she's too busy right now."

"Prom is in a month," his grandfather said, and Ember looked at him, to see that he was looking at the wall in front of him.

Ember sighed, letting his head fall back down against the covered mattress.

"Will a text be enough?" He asked, looking straight at whatever was in his sights, which happened to be a wall and ceiling.

"If it's Luna, I believe so," he said, smiling at the mention of her name.
