The long day of waiting is over. .. The day Gerald will be back from Hawaii. He called Mommy Vangie that he will be arriving early morning of Sunday. He asked if she wanted anything from Hawaii. His mom just said that he should not bother and save the money for his future. He just laughed. Mom, you are the best and I am really lucky to have you as my mother. You know what; you and Sarah have one thing in common. You both bring out the best in me. I love you, Mom.
Gerald has so many plans to accomplish. He will be pushing for the implementation of his business plans and hope to establish it before the year ends. I wanted to surprise Sarah with my new venture. Wishful thinking, Lord, please make Sarah be more receptive and open about her feelings, I will surely be the luckiest man on earth, if we will become official and I can call her mine.
Sarah on the other hand is very excited. She told her parents that she is now ready to face the risk of giving her heart to Gerald. Her parents have no objection and even said to her that it’s about time since Gerald had shown her his seriousness and that he loves her so much. Mommy D just advises her to be ready and tough on the consequences that will arise once their relationship will become public knowledge.
It’s Sunday, Sarah return to her show SarahG Live after three weeks of absence. His Co host, Luis and Sam, tease her that she doesn’t look as if she got sick because she is blooming. Sarah just smile and said thank you looking at the camera with her eyes sparkling. In her mind, if you only know how happy I am because of someone who completed my life. The atmosphere in the studio is so happy, everyone seems to be hyper. Mommy D actually prepares some food (pansit and cup cakes) from their restaurant to share with all the staff and audiences who attended the show. Then the last segment will be aired, Sarah’s Statement Song for the night. She was already on standby for her cue on the stage so she doesn’t know that Gerald arrived and was actually waiting at her dressing room. Mommy D greeted him and says that the show will be ending soon. While they were monitoring, Gerald got transfixed with how beautiful his princess was and then the statement being delivered by Sarah caught his attention.
Sarah: What love is? How do we define love? Is it like what we always write in the slum book? Before, I will be honest; I look at love as something you feel when you are attracted to someone..”Kilig”. I mean physical attraction. There is no depth nor sense because you still know nothing about that person except his looks. I was once a victim of that kind of emotion. I experienced pain and rejection and taught that falling in love is one experience that is not recommendable because it only gives pain and heartaches. But now I know differently, someone taught me the real meaning of Love. I now realize that what I feel before is just merely infatuation or attraction and not the real True Love. Now, I know that being in Love, you have to willingly give a part of yourself to protect, cherish and love that someone unconditionally. You learn to see things beyond the “kilig” or physical attraction. You have to look deeper that physical attraction but more on the beauty of his heart; the pureness of his heart. When you that person who will move mountains just to show how much he loves you, without waiting for anything; a man who is willing to wait until the girl he loves realize and see that he really mean everything for the sake of love. Then we can say that it is really worth waiting for that kind of love to find you because True love really waits.
Now, I could say I am the luckiest woman on earth because God has sent me this one person who showed me the real meaning of love. He is that someone I may now claimed for all of my life. To that special someone in my heart, Thank you for everything you’ve done; Thank you for believing in me and for making me see through your eyes the beauty of love; and you teach me not to be afraid anymore to give myself a chance to be happy and to love again. I now dedicate this song for that special someone who now occupies my heart and gives me inspiration. That “Someone for all of my life”.
After the statement, the orchestra started playing and Sarah began to sing. Gerald can no longer contain himself inside the dressing room and went back stage. The floor director saw him and approached him, if he wanted to make an appearance and surprise Sarah. Gerald looked at Mommy D who nodded, so the floor director guided him and signal for him to go up the stage. Sarah was caught unaware when the fans inside the studio suddenly shouted and went wild. She is singing the refrain portion of the song, confused on the cause of the excitement, she looked back and saw a familiar silhouette, because the lights got her eyes, then the person approached her and it surprised her to see that the person approaching her is that special someone whom she dedicated the song.
Amidst the shouting and jubilation of all the people inside the studio, they just looked at each other and forgot where they are. Sarah and Gerald hugged each other. Gerald kissed Sarah on the forehead then whispered: You look beautiful tonight; I love your very, very much; I miss you my princess. The show ended with them still holding each other. After the show, Mommy D and Daddy D, Luis and Sam approached them; they are all teary eyes, happy for the couple. Sarah and Gerald then accommodated the request for pictures and autograph of fans who stayed. Then they asked permission that they have to leave.
In the dressing room, Gerald did not let go of Sarah, he asked permission from Mommy D, if he and Sarah will go ahead. They already knew about Gerald’s plan for that night. Sarah asked Gerald where they will be going and Ge just advise her to rest and he will just woke her up when they reached the place.
Gerald reserves a place in Taytay near the picnic area where they had their first Kilig scene (Holding Hands) in CMIL. Mommy Vangie has taken charged of all the preparation. They arrived; the place is in total darkness. Gerald assisted Sarah and then requested her to close her eyes. Sarah did, she holds until he asked her to open her eyes. The lights were on and in the middle of the garden, there is this beautiful setting, full of white orchids with pink and blue tassels and the carpet was full of rose petals with white little buds of sweet smelling flower. At the left corner, there is an orchestra which started playing “All of my life” while they walk towards the table set for two. Sarah stared in awe and pat Gerald’s arm: What is this? You’ve surprised me again. I was the one supposed to surprise you, but you beat me again. Ge just said: I will do everything to make you happy. I want to show you how much you mean to me. You like it. Sarah just nodded her head and hugs him.
They finished their dinner and then decided to walk along the road where Gerald said he felt the magic while holding Sarah’s hand during the shooting of their first movie, CMIL and realize that Sarah is the girl for him. Suddenly, they saw shooting stars illuminating the clear skies, a reminiscing of what happened before. Gerald faced and hold Sarah’s hand close to his heart and loudly wish : Lord, I truly love the woman beside me and may she realize that she is the only woman I wanted to be with, to be my wife and mother of my future children. Sarah touched his face and said a small prayer of thanks: “Thank you Lord for giving me the man beside me now who have been my best friend and the man I want to grow old with. Then she give Gerald a smack on his lips, then say: I love you very, very much and I wanted to share my life with you forever.
Gerald amazed with happiness lifted Sarah up high and shouted: Thank you Lord, while spinning around. Sarah then pinched his ear and asked him to stop because she is already dizzy. Gerald stops but maintain his hold on her then he slowly lowers her until their eyes meet. Gerald looks lovingly at her lovely face. Sarah slipped her hands around his neck; Ge tightens his embrace; kiss her eyes, her nose and reverently kiss her lips. Still holding Sarah closed to his heart, chantingly shout “I love you; I Love you; I Love you........ You made me the happiest man on earth. Sarah reciprocated by kissing Gerald and shouting how much she love him and how much he completed her life.
The night grow deep, they just sat there looking up the sky with only the sound of crickets being heard. They were at peace just by being with each other. Sarah laid her head in Gerald’s chest while Ge embraced her tightly with both hands with his chin on Sarah’s head. Lulled by the silence of the night and Ge’s heart beat, Sarah fall asleep. Ge then lifted Sarah toward his car and bring her home. The night is definitely filled with happy memories they will cherish forever.
