Alayna quickly pulled the 2015 Kia Sorento off to the side of the road, having ditched the Impala a few towns back to make it harder for Dean to track them. In fact, this was the third car they'd taken and were about to move up to a fourth. Aurora looked around confused at the sudden stop, but before she could ask anything, Alayna climbed out of the car.
She quickly followed suit, "why are we stopping?"
"We've searched 3 cities in the last 15 hours. I'm sick of top 40 radio and I smell like leather," she moved around to the front of her car, her eyes scanning the different stores that lined the small town. "I'm hungry and we need to change up our ride if we don't want Dean to find us."
"And that's my fault?" Aurora snapped. "You're the one who stole the list of Catherine's wherabouts, did you ever stop to think that Dean had bad information?"
Alayna didn't even look at her as she walked passed, peering down the road, "have I ever told you I can't stand the sound of your voice."
Aurora rolled her eyes, "too bad. We're not done. Get in. Next town."
Alayna turned to say something, what she was going to say, lost on the tip of her tongue when she saw a girl unlocking her car. It was silver and inconspicuous. Perfect. "Fine. But, we really are going to need another car." She ignored Aurora's incredulous look and moved passed her to the girl.
She had long, dyed red hair that fell all the way down to her hips despite half of it being up in a bun. She turned, letting out a startled gasp when she saw Alayna standing right there. "Oh, Catherine, you startled me."
Alayna felt her mouth fall open slightly, blinking rapidly at the name she was just called. It took her all of two seconds to mask her shock, "you know me?"
"Of course," the girl looked at her like she was crazy. "Everyone here knows you."
Aurora came up behind Alayna, taking in the strange girls whole person and then looked around the town. "Conniving bitch cursed the whole town." She mumbled in shock, it was actually quite brilliant.
Alayna glanced at Aurora briefly, "I think we just found Catherine. What's my full name?" She had to figure out how deeply this curse was rooted within each member of the town. It may determine if they found Catherine or not.
"Catherine Pierce. I love the new do by the way," she smiled, picking up a piece of highlighted brown hair.
"So, how do you know Catherine?" Aurora asked, but she was only met with a confused stare.
"How do I know, who?"
Alayna straightened at that, that was interesting. "How do you know me?"
As soon as the girls eyes landed on Alayna, she smiled, "small town, everybody knows everybody."
"So, everybody here knows Catherine?" Aurora's second question got about the same reaction as the first.
"I'm sorry, I- I don't know who you're talking about."
Aurora let out a bitter chuckle, glancing sideways at the Doppelganger beside her, "she hexed people into forgetting about her unless she was talking to them herself. Clever girl."
"Well, can you undo it?" Alayna asked. She was an Angel, she should have at least, a little more power than a 500 year old witch.
Aurora shook her head with a sigh, "I would have to know which spell was used, and the specifics of it, ingredients, conditions. I wouldn't be able to undo it without talking to Catherine first."
"Okay, so we do this the old fashioned way," Alayna sighed, straightening out her red and white dress. "How long have we known each other?"
"It's been a while, I can't remember."
