"Ooh gurl you soooo Beutimous!"

"Super Fly !!"

We all started laughing at Katys's last statement . I walked away from the floor length mirror and faced them. The dress was absolutely stunning and swished gracefully when I walked, I didn't want to take it off. We were all kind of buggin cuz we were drinking champagne and nibbling on "Brie en Croute",. It was me Shekinah, Missy Jackson, Mz. Texas and Katy and of course my bestie Tati . Oh yeah , we were picking my wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses at Vera Wang's Bridal House, in New York.

"No, No, No" my mom said eyeing the dress .

"You see this ruching, it needs to be towards the hem of the dress not the neckline !"

Vera Wang looked at my mom as if she wanted to karate chop her neck but in a controlled voice she turned to me and said

"Honey what do you think"

I took a look at my mom and she eyed me carefully and I looked at Mrs. Wang and she held my gaze expectantly .

I took a deep breath and the room was silent.

"We'll I think this dress is beautiful..."

Vera Wang smiled triumphantly at me cutting my mom a smug look.

"But ..." I continued

"I really want to try that one" I said pointing an exquisite wedding dress that was in a curved glass display case. As soon as I walked in I knew I wanted it to be my wedding dress but before I could even respond my mom took over ushering me to the seasons "latest" trends. Most of the dresses she picked out were fierce on the runway and was the epitome of high fashion and Haute Coture , but looked plain ridiculous on me.

"Ahh yes " Vera Wang said clasping her hands

"That would be perfect!"

She nodded her head at two employees and they delicately lifted the glass case containing my dream dress.

My girls squealed in anticipation causing my mom to throw them a withering look.

I rushed to the fitting room with my mom on my heels.

As soon as the ladies buttoned me up I gasped it looked even better than I imagined.

Stepping out of the room I twirled feeling like a princess.

"Jasmine honestly that dress looks...." my mom began shaking her head

"AAAAFrreeaakinMazzziing !" Katy yelled

We all started laughing at Katys drunk ass. Skekinah snatched the bottle of champagne out of her hand and took a swig

"Gurl dats da one" she said snapping her fingers .

She turned to Vera Wang "Do yall have any chicken?'

Vera Wang's face fell a little but being the professional she was held it down.

"Vivian would you provide Misses Greene's party with some chicken please" she said through a tight smile.

"Thank you" Shekinah said smacking her lips

"Cuz dis croute isn't working for me"

My moms face turned red which is nearly impossible for a dark skinned black woman.
