Chapter is a bit shorter along with the next one, more of fillers!
"I can't believe you haven't jumped his bones yet!" Casey yelled at me from the other end of the couch nearly spilling her wine. "I mean yeah I think Hunters a self centered ass hole but he's hot! And if you guys are finally a thing then I don't know how you can control yourself."
I had to tell someone about Hunter and I because it was eating me up not able to confess any of the dirty details. Casey was the only one I fully trusted out of anyone so I told her and I knew she could keep a secret.
"You have to remember don't tell a soul about this!"
"I know I know or else Drake will come after you again blah, blah, blah." I had to roll my eyes and smile at her words. "Now tell me everything. How'd it happen? Was he sweet? Does he have a soft side for you?"
I began spilling everything to her from that moment Hunter had asked me, to his sort of sweet side. She was sipping her drink like it was a juice box as she stared at me intensely. I wasn't planning on doing the dirty with Hunter anytime soon. I liked to think of myself as a virgin because what had happened to me was something I've been trying to forget.
"So I hate to say it but I told you so," Casey shrugged. I knew she was itching to tell me that. "I told you Hunter had the hots for you and you didn't want to believe me!"
When both of us finished our drinks we set the glasses on the coffee table and it soon became quiet, Casey's face suddenly frowning only slightly.
"I'm thinking of dumping Cole," she sighed and I became shocked. "He isn't the same. He's meaner now and I've been by myself most nights with him coming home so late. We argue constantly and I don't see us being together anymore."
"Casey I'm so sorry," I told her truthfully and inched closer, placing my warm hand on her shoulder. She just shrugged and seemed unfazed.
"I'm fine, really. I've just lost feelings for him and I think it's time for me to do something for myself. Ever since I've been living there I haven't gotten around to looking for a job or anything because he always had the money. I'm tired of feeling lazy."
"I'm sure Ryan and Mark would hire you," I informed her. "And if you ever need a place to stay my bedroom is always open."
Her eyes suddenly grew and she bit her bottom lip. "Oh shit I never even thought of where I'd live!"
I laughed and pulled her in for a hug. Casey did so much for me already and I was always going to be there for her so if she needed a job and a place to crash I'd open my arms for her.
"Plus I think I found someone else," Casey stated and pulled away from me. I grimaced.
"Please don't tell me it's Brandon." She frowned. "He seems sketchy I don't think he's a good choice."
"Why?" She asked disappointed.
"I have a bad feeling about the kid."
"Well it's not like we're anything serious," she leaned back. "We've just been talking a little bit and I've been telling him about Cole. He's been helping me so I kind of fell for him."
"Just be careful is all I'm saying," I told her truthfully. "I don't want to have to bury any dead bodies all because they mistreated you."
It was an hour later when Hunter returned home and Casey left even though she seemed as though she was hesitating. It was time to inform Hunter on the details that Casey was probably going to be staying with us for a while and I just hoped he'd take this well. Mostly for the fact that I needed to know Hunter was somewhat of a good guy. If he fought with me about my best friend staying with us when she needed a place then it wasn't going to work with us.
