Hunter
I haven't heard my sisters voice in years, I missed it. In my head Jasmine had to be dead to convince everyone else she was. Tyler and I were the only ones who knew she was actually alive, even our mother didn't know the truth. We had to make it real so we acted as if she was gone so we never accidentally slipped and revealed she was alive. The only true part about the situation was she really did want out of the gang. She couldn't have her own life which was what she always wanted. Her goal was to go to school and become a doctor and she couldn't accomplish that when our father was holding her back so the only way to have her leave was to fake her death just like Zoe and I did.
We knew our father was going to kill her so we set up a plan and hid a bullet proof vest under her with a pouch of fake blood so when he shot her it didn't look fake. Drake wanted me to discard the body so that's what I did. Tyler and I sent her North with a bag of cash so she could start her life over and do the things she wanted. To this day everyone thought she was dead because that's what we believed. And I was hoping I'd never have to bring her back into this situation but we needed her help if we wanted to take down Drake. We needed all the help we could get. Once he was dead she could come out of hiding.
You see we all knew Jasmine was always the favorite to our father so the reason he actually went through with killing her had always put questions into our minds. That just showed us he was heartless and really cared for no one.
"Hunter what's wrong?" Jasmine questioned on the other end. "Are you in trouble? I swear I'll be on the next plane out of here."
"Actually we are babe, I hate asking you for help but I think it's time to take down Drake."
Tyler was giving me a look of shock and confusion but I ignored him.
"What do you mean?" her innocent voice asked.
I had to explain the whole situation to my sister from the beginning. From Zoe moving in with me to our relationship and finishing with our father taking her away. He was waiting for me to come after her so he could kill us both but what he didn't know was I wasn't coming alone. I was going to fight him and I wasn't aiming for loss. My father was going to pay for the shit he's put me through my whole life.
"We're going to get through this," Jasmine reassured. "I'm already booking a flight. I will be there as soon as I can."
"Thank you."
"What the fuck man?" My brother shouted. "You're bringing Jasmine into this? We don't need her!"
"I am determined to kill Drake. What he's done can't go unnoticed. Jasmine can finally return home once this is over."
"She doesn't need to be dragged into it now though," he growled lowly and clenched his fists but I knew this was what had to happen. Jasmine was going to be a distraction.
Tyler followed me into the apartment when we returned and I turned straight for the kitchen to get a drink. I needed to calm my nerves before coming up with a plan.
"I'm calling Tasha," Tyler told me just as he dialed a number. "She's going to have to help us. She has enough men to have our back. She's been itching to get her claws into Drake anyways."
I started downing shots until I felt my body start to relax and get warmer so I leaned back against the cool fridge and stared at the ceiling. I imagined Drakes bleeding body helplessly begging for his life at my feet and grinned at the thought feeling like a mad man. For all the shit you put me through old man you're finally going to pay for the mistakes. You raised me to be a demon and now I was ripping from my cage to get my revenge.
