Zoe
This morning was like any other, I had woke up and headed to work. It was slow at first and then got busy around lunch time. When I got picked up from Hunter I was tired as usual but Hunter had other ideas. Instead of going in the direction of home he took a different turn and I got confused but when I asked where we were going he didn't answer. Oh no was he taking me on a drug deal? I'm not ready!
Hunter surprised me when we pulled up outside of a gym just as the sun began to set creating bright pink colors illuminating the sky. That's when Hunter informed me what we were doing.
"I'm going to teach you some self defense moves. Even though I walked in on you holding Blake at gun point I still don't trust it for next time, if there is a next time."
"Self defense huh? And how am I going to do this in my work uniform?"
"I packed you clothes," he stated and pointed to the back seat where a small duffel bag lay.
Letting out a huff of air I grabbed the bag and followed Hunter inside. Hunter teaching me self defense moves was probably going to be difficult since he had a bit of a temper.
He ordered me to go change in the girls locker rooms. When I pulled out the outfit he'd picked out for me I grimaced and rolled my eyes. He chose the shortest pair of black stretchy shorts I owned and a white tank top that I knew was see through. Self defense classes came out of no where and I was slightly confused but wasn't complaining. Maybe I could actually learn a thing or two about protecting myself.
When I stepped into the spacious gym with Hunter and a few other people working out I felt nervous. Hunter's eyes roamed up and down my body while he smirked and I tugged on the bottom of my shorts as best as I could feeling slightly uncomfortable.
"Of course you'd choose the sluttiest outfit you could," I scolded him.
"What can I say? It was the first thing I found." I knew he was lying.
"Let's just get started."
I figured Hunter teaching me some moves would be easy and simple but when I got pinned to my back on the mat for the third time in just ten minutes, I grew irritated. Hunter was teaching me some block motions I could use with my arms and decided to teach me how to fight back somewhat. But apparently I "wasn't listening" which ended in me being pinned.
"Again!" Hunter would yell after he stood off me, not even reaching to help me up.
"When defending yourself make sure to never take your eyes off them and always think ahead of them. That way you'll allow yourself to-" I cut him off by screeching like a warrior and jumped on his back which I hoped would make him fall to the ground. But Hunter stood very still and barely moved when I jumped on him. Now his expression seemed bored.
"How is this suppose to be fair if I can't even get you down with surprise?" I huffed still on his back. He pushed me off.
"Zoe take this seriously! What if we have another break in?"
"I know how to use a gun," I replied with a duh tone.
Hunter ran a hand down his face tiredly. We continued to practice until I finally managed to get Hunter somewhat down but I did accidentally kick him in the gut which had him heaving over.
"Take this while I grab a quick drink," I told Hunter handing him my bag as we planned to leave.
I took a chug from the clean water fountain near the girls locker room and when I turned back around I saw Hunter on my phone from across the room. His expression faded into a confused and slightly aggravated look so I quickened my pace back to him.
