It was late and I was beyond exhausted by the time the bar was finally closing. I offered to work a double for the boys because it was so busy and they were low on staff. It seemed as if it'd be a good idea at the time but now that my legs felt weak and my eyes threatened to close I was assuming this wasn't the right choice.

It was a while since Hunter took me on our date and I never even mentioned the fact he introduced me as his girlfriend. But lately he's been distant. I was taking the subway to work lately because he was extremely busy with errands that I never questioned. He would always make me find a ride home and when I'd get home he wasn't there. He'd show up late and by the time he finally woke up I'd have to get to work.

Scarlett and Tony left the city and she was texting me here and there filling me in with the details of her new house. I could tell she was happy with her decision and I felt great for her.

"Why don't you get on home," Mark appeared next to me. "We can clean up. Do you have a ride home?"

"Yeah," I told him even though it was a lie. I wasn't exactly sure who was going to be getting me but I was so exhausted that I wasn't in the mood for him to start questioning.

When I stepped outside and sat on a bench I began to text Tristan to ask if he was around because Hunter's car wasn't waiting for me. Tristan was taking so long to answer that my phone ended up turning black and died on me.

"Well that's great," I said to myself with a huff. The right decision was to go back inside and ask Mark for a ride but at the same time I wasn't in the mood to wait even longer for him to finish cleaning with his brother and the subway was right around the corner. So I rode on the wild side and headed down the dark stairs.

The underground tunnel was empty to my luck so I leaned against a stone pole to wait. Since my device was dead I had no way to entertain myself with games.

When I heard the sound of footsteps I froze and decided against looking in the direction of the noise. If I kept to myself maybe whoever that was wasn't going to bother me. Even though it could just be an innocent traveler my mind was still on edge with all the shit that's been occurring.

"Oh damn look at this boys," a hard voice cooed near me. A group of boys were heading towards me now and I rolled my eyes annoyed. All I wanted right now was to get home.

"Hey sweet heart what's your name?" The one boy asked me with a smile while his two friends stood beside him.

"Not interested "sweet heart"," I mocked with a hint of attitude due to lack of sleep.

"She's a feisty one," he joked and his friends laughed.

"Look just get the fuck away from me. I'm tired and not in the mood to get hit on by some dirty ass head."

The boys smile faded and he didn't seem like he appreciated my tone but I gave not one single fuck in the moment. I sent him the same scowl back. When he went to touch my arm I took a step back but he followed so I reached my hand up to slap him when something stopped me.

"Yo Sean!" A familiar voice echoed in the distant and then Tyler appeared surprising me. I hadn't seen the kid in a while. He was in and out of the apartment from time to time but I've never had an actual conversation with him.

"Leave her alone," Hunter's brother spoke when he got closer. "He's Hunt's girl."

Sean's eyes widened in realization and he took a large step back with his hands up in surrender. "Oh shit babe I'm sorry." I only rolled my eyes.

"Whatever," I snarled.

"I can tell she's Hunter's girl," Sean chuckled.

After the kid apologized once more Tyler motioned for him and his two friends to leave.
