This is the last chapter before the epilogue! Writing this book was such an adventure for me. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did writing it! Feedback is amazing, I'd love to hear what you thought about it.

Zoe

It was time for me to return home as Tasha drove me while I stayed completely silent and motionless next to her. I could feel the shell inside me begin to crack and open my new skin. I was ready to throw my past away. Now being a boss, I wasn't going to take shit from anyone. No more cowering when a man entered my room to use my body for his pleasure. The innocent Zoe that feared people no longer existed and instead a devil took her place. I could feel him inside me whispering dangerous thoughts to me. I'd allow him to take over my mind and become someone I never knew I could become.

This gang was going to help me do that. We were going to become a business just like Tasha, one where we'd make our money the right way and leave the sickness behind. Girls were not going to be considered trash and instead goddesses. I will teach my men how to cherish a woman and not use her to throw away later. This was my chance to make the city a little less insane.

"You coming?" Tasha asked me when we were pulled up outside of the apartment building. I didn't even realize we were here.

She followed me inside where we rode the elevator and I stopped myself right outside our door. I stared at that blue money drawn in pen still hanging onto the gold number. When I came here I was not expecting my life to actually flip upside down. That monkey reminded me of the Zoe that came here for a place to stay so she could explore the world and be herself. That never really happened though.

When I stepped inside I found Hunter on the island counter in the kitchen with the girl who I assumed was his dead sister hovering above him picking at his wound. Ryan, his brother and Tyler were crowded around him. The blood made me nauseous so instead I stopped at Hunter's face. He was chugging a bottle of alcohol probably to subside the pain.

"Hey," I whispered. He only smiled softly and then it faded. "It's over now." I placed a kiss to his forehead and held his hand in mine.

"I guess so," he agreed. The tone he had with me was the same when we were back at the junkyard. He tried to act happy but I knew he wasn't.

"What is wrong with you?"

"Nothing Zoe," was his simple reply but I knew it was a lie.

"Please tell me." He ignored me and then hissed when his sister began to pull the bullet out.

"Zoe!" Casey's voice rang from the doorway as Luke led her and Stephanie inside.

I decided to leave Hunter alone because I felt as if he didn't even want me there, so I stepped towards my anxious friends instead. I pulled them into the living room as Tasha took a seat across from the three of us. I was being squeezed by Stephanie and Casey but I winced when they rubbed the spot I'd been shot on my arm.

"Sorry," Stephanie frowned and pulled away.

"It's alright," I reassured her. "Why were you two there? It was too dangerous."

"We were told to stay here," Casey answered me. "But we couldn't stay here knowing you needed help. We had no clue what was going on so we ditched this place and followed the guys without them knowing. It's a good thing we showed up, you seemed like you needed our help."

"You came at the perfect time," I sighed. "That bitch filled my head with things that weren't her business. I did need someone to snap me out of it."
