Tyler
I stepped down the long hallway towards my fathers office for our weekly meeting. He's been wanting to sit and talk with me more now all because I was the only one left to take his place. He's been calmer with me and it almost seems like he's being nicer. I can see past it though to who he truly is so I'm smart enough not to fall for his tricks.
Before I stepped inside I heard him talking to someone so I stopped myself to listen.
"No sir everything here is fine," he said and I heard a muffled voice so he must be on the phone. Who could he be calling sir? Last time I checked no one was above him. At least that's how he acted.
"I can assure you that's not the case," he continued. "No they are dead." He paused. "Isn't that good?" Another pause. "Ok goodbye."
When he threw the phone on the table I waited another moment and then knocked on the already open door to get his attention. I couldn't let him know I was standing there listening to the strange phone call.
"Hello my son come on in," Drake grinned and sat in his chair behind the desk. "How are you?"
"Fine," I mumbled and fell into a chair. Already I was bored.
"Well tell me something interesting." He was acting like he cared by leaning forward and placing his chin in his hands.
"Draco still doesn't have the money from his last order," I shrugged and rubbed the hairs on my chin.
"You know how to handle that don't you?" He was talking about murder... That wasn't something I enjoyed doing so I had to handle the situation better than he would. Maybe scare Draco a bit before considering shooting a bullet in his head.
"Yeah I do," I answered Drake. "I have two more deliveries to make today. When am I getting paid for last weeks?"
Drake began to chuckle as he instantly reached into a drawer. "You are my son, always worrying about the money." He dropped a stack of cash in front of me and I took it to count. That's what I was raised to do, always count before you take.
"You should be on your way now," Drake shooed me with his hand. "Take care of business."
As I stalked away I pulled out my phone to call my brother and let him in on what I just heard with Drake's phone call, but Hunter was already calling me before I could beat him to it.
"What's up?" I spoke lowly into the phone as I stepped outside in the junkyard Drake owned where his office building was connected to.
"Dude I can't find Zoe. I woke up and she was gone, no note or anything. But a number was called from this phone and when I looked it up it was a taxi company." Hunter sounded like he had just gone for an hour jog, and from what he just told me I began to panic.
"Fuck dude!" I blurted when I plopped into my car. "Where do you think she went? She knows not to leave!"
"Last night she was saying that she didn't like the fact Casey was being lied to and that she wanted her to know the truth. But I told her we couldn't trust that right now."
"Maybe she's coming back for her then," I suggested. "But Casey isn't here, do you think she knows that?"
"She got into my phone to call the cab so I'm guessing she's seen the messages."
Zoe was going to get herself killed if she came back and I needed to stop her. But if I didn't finish my deliveries and handle Draco today then my father will suspect something is up and possibly have someone follow me around. I needed to finish what I had to get done before I searched for Zoe.
"What do I do?" Hunter grumbled. "Do I go after her?"
"No just stay there for now!" I yelled and began to speed. "I need to finish up some shit and then I'll go looking for her."
I promptly finished my two drop offs which went smoothly and luckily both employees had their cash ready. I had no time to chat as I raced to my final mission before heading out of state to look for Zoe.
I pulled over in front of Draco's house and slid my gun into the belt of my pants, then covered it with my shirt. I just hope he'll hand over the money or else I'd have to do something I didn't want to do. I was in a rush and had no time for excuses.
"Oh, hey there Tyler," Draco pulled open the door and smiled with his eyes blood shot and his skin pale.
"I don't got time for games, do you have the money?"
He sucked in a breath through his teeth and shook his head slowly making me grow irritated. "I'll have it by tomorrow I promise!"
That's when I snapped and pushed him inside while kicking the door shut with my foot, and then I pulled out my gun, pinned him to the nearest wall and slammed the metal piece against his head. That's when I heard the sound of a click and turned my head slightly to see a dazed girl in only a bra and a pair of black boxers. She was pointing a gun towards me not even holding the damn thing correctly while she wore the snarkiest smirk.
"Tell her to back down," I growled towards Draco but he held the same expression the girl did.
"Looks like you're stuck in a predicament Tyler," Draco hissed.
Great, now the plan is fucked and I'm being held at gun point by a dirty skank.
