Our Secret(Vikings-Ubbe/Hvitserk Ragnarsson:Part 1)

*Brenna's pov*

I grew up in a loving family my parents were the image of Vikings my mother passed after I was born leaving me and my brother in the care of my father's slaves while he went on raids with King Ragnar...before long Queen Aslaug took over caring for us raising us with her 4 sons making sure we had all opportunities in front of us as her sons would...making sure my brother was married to the daughter of an Earl from one of Kattegat's allies...as for me she decided I would wed Ubbe her oldest son also I was trained as a shieldmaiden at my request and my father's before he passed...I didn't mind being things with Ubbe we got along and there was an attraction there...I was sound asleep in my room when I felt a kiss pressed to my cheek I groaned "Go away."

Ubbe chuckled "Just came to tell you I'm heading to the cabin with my brothers."

I opened my eyes to look at him "A note would of done it Ubbe...or I don't know you could of told someone to tell me."

He smiled "I could of but then I could of done this."

I smiled as he pressed a light kiss to my lips "Ubbe.."

Ubbe smiled "I'll see you later okay."

I nodded "I'm going back to sleep you ass."

He kissed me again then stood up "You training with us later?"

I shook my head "No going over wedding plans with your mother."

Ubbe nodded "Then I will see you around lunch then..."

I nodded "Mmmhmm...another kiss.."

He moved his arms on either side of me as he leaned down capturing my lips with his...he pulled back with a smile "I must go Brenna.."

I nodded "Be careful.."

Ubbe smiled and left

I fell back asleep for a little bit before getting up for the day...sat with Aslaug going through everything...I smiled softly "Are we sending word to Egil?"

Aslaug nodded "Only fitting that your brother should be there since your dear father can't and will.be wstching with the gods in Valhala."

I nodded "I miss him."

She cupped my chin softly "He loved you and and your brother equally but you my dear Brenna were his pride and joy his world..he held you to the level of the gods..he would be so proud of the woman you have become my dear."

I smiled softly "I would hope so."

Aslaug smiled "Let's continue."

I nodded before long I stood talking to Ubbe and Hvitserk when I noticed a lot of commotion going on "What's going on?"

Hvitserk looked up "I don't know...looks like people have seen a ghost."

I turned to walk when Ubbe grabbed my arm "What?"

Ubbe shook his head "Stay behind please."

I nodded walking behind the brothers...I froze as I saw a man we all surely though was dead...I whispered "My gods."

He stood firmly in front of me as if to block me from Ragnar's view..

I watched it all unfold I resisted the urge to step in when he hit Ubbe but it wasn't my place..my eyes widened when his eyes bore into mine

Ragnar looked at me "It can't be...Jerrik's little girl...where is Egil...where is Jerrik?"

I bit my bottom lip "He never came home from Paris...Egil is married tending to his own duties."
