*Selby's pov*

Things were slowly getting better Jorunn and Ivar were married it was so nice to see Ivar happy I really like Jorunn and I could tell she genuinely cared for him even so when we jist discovered she was with child Ivar was estatic and we were all thrilled Margrethe's lies were untrue..yhey even managed to somewhat fix things with Ubbe...as for me I was due soon and miserable I was huge I was really wondering if I had more than one in there...I sat in the hall of Kattegat I sat with Jorunn "I can't wait until he is born...I'm miserable."

Jorunn frowned "Want me to get Hvitserk?"

I sighed "Nothing it can do unfortunately...its all up to this little guy to come when he's ready."

She nodded "Still think there are two in there?"

I nodded "I do...everyone tells me I'm just being silly..."

Jorunn nodded "A woman knows though...my mother knew she was carrying my brothers...unfortunately we lost all 3 of them..."

I gasped "You mean I could?:"

She shook her head "Gods no Selby my mother already had 5 children including me...she had no buisness getting pregnant again she had a horrible pregnancy the boys were stillborn mother passed about a week later she was just too old and too weak to recover..the Gods took one life from you they won't do it again."

I nodded "I am scared though..what if I'm not strong enough?"

Jorunn took my hands "Nonsense I haven't known you very long but I've seen how you've handled these past few months how strong you were...you are going to give birth to a healthy son and you will be fine."

"She's right."

I looked up seeing Ubbe "Hi."

Ubbe nodded "Hvitserk is dealing with something I came to check on the kids for Torvi so I told him I'd come check on you."

I sighed sitting back in my chair "Nothing has changed as you can see..still pregnant and still can't see my feet.."

He chuckled "Not too much longer.."

I groaned "Help me stand up please."

Ubbe pulled my chair out tben took my hands pulling me up "Careful."

I steadied myself but stopped when I felt it..I looked at Ubbe with wide eyes "Oh my gods."

He looked down "What is that?"

Jorunn jumped up "The baby is coming get her to a room now Ubbe...I'll go get the wet nurses and healer...Dag go get Hvitserk."

Dag nodded and rushed out

I sighed as Jorunn rushed out and Ubbe got me to a room "Ubbe I'm going to need you to help me get this dress off..."

Ubbe froze "Selby..."

I sighed "Ubbe I have an underdress on."

He nodded helping me get the dress off then sitting in the chair "Need anything?"

I shook my head "No..."

Jorunn came in "Okay Ubbe out.."

Ubbe nodded "I'll wait for Hvitserk and Ivar."

She nodded "Go.."

Before I knew it they had me on the floor pushing...I gripped the sheet "Oh gods.."

Jorunn rubbed my back "That's it Selby."

I groaned "Fuck..."

Torvi chuckled softly "You can do it honey.."
