Our Secret(Vikings-Ubbe/Hvitserk Ragnarsson:Part 6)

*Brenna's pov*

When the first battle went down I was a nervous wreck I did everything I could to keep my mind off what was going down in Kattegat...even though they weren't that far I was scared to death...when they returned everyone was in a foul mood...Hvitserk was getting ready to head Paris to ask of his uncle's help against Lagertha..I sighed deeply "Husband."

Hvitserk looked up "I know love.."

I sighed deeply "Please be careful."

He nodded "Come here."

I slowly walked over "Hvitserk."

Hvitserk pulled into his arms holding me as close as my belly allowed "I will be home soon with help...soon this war will be over..and we'll have our girl."

I sighed softly "I hope you're right.."

He sighed "I should tell you Ubbe hasn't given up the idea that the baby is his...Bjorn seems to think so as well."

I sighed deeply "I thought he'd forget all about this."

Hvitserk softly touched my cheek "If he is what you want I will let you go...I won't protest anything."

I shook my head "He had me and look at how that turned out...you Hvitserk Ragnarsson have my heart and soul.."

He nodded "Yeah.."

I took his hands placing them on my belly "She is yours I feel it...you are the man who has been taking care of her mother and of her all this time while he ran off to Kattegat...you are my husband she is ours and no one else's....no one is taking me from you."

Hvitserk let his forehead rest against mine "See me off?"

I nodded "What kind of wife would I be if I didn't.."

He picked up his sack as we walked out...as he stood on the deck he cradled my head in his hands "Please listen to Ivar..he's a pain in the ass but he means well."

I nodded "I will...do hurry back."

Hvitserk smiled "I will.."

I pulled him down slightly by his armor "I love you."

He smiled capturing my lips with his..he pulled back slightly "I love you.."

I smiled "Go.."

Hvitserk kissed me again before getting on the boat "Ivar take care of my wife and baby."

Ivar nodded "You know I will brother."

I stood watching him sail away I felt Ivar stand beside me "We need to talk.."

He looked at me "About?"

I sighed softly "About this family."

Ivar nodded "Should I send for Egil?"

I nodded "Yes."

He looked at one of his men giving them a nod "Come sister."

I nodded and followed him...when my brother joined us I sighed deeply "So I've been doing a lot of thinking..."

Egil crossed his arms "Never a good thing."

I nodded "I know but this has to do with Ingrid."

Ivar sat up "What does the baby have to do with any of this."

I sighed softly letting my hands rest on my belly "Ubbe is still determined she is his...I know what I feel but the fact remains she very well could be."

Egil nodded "What about Hvitserk?"

I sighed "In my heart he is her father the man I love...I just I don't know what to do."
