*Ubbe's pov*

It didn't take much for Ivar and Kari to settle into parenthood especially simce Ivar no longer needed the chair...Kari was a natural guess it came from being around us 4 all the time...after that incident I never called Margrethe again I did meet a girl Shelby who to my surprise Kari took an instant liking to and she never liked any of my girlfriends none of my family did but they all loved...maybe because she was Harald and Halfdan's niece...Ivar and Kari finally moved into their house now that his therapy was down to once a week...bit today we were all at mom and dad's for one of mom's things...we were all outside enjoying the beautiful weather running around with Bjorn's boys was great...I watched Ivar carry Cuyler out to the grass after that Erik and Refil were more concerned about Cuyler than playing...I walked over taking a seat by Kari who had an overwhelmed look on her face "What's wrong?"

Kari whispered "They have been talking wedding nonstop Ivar escaped with my means of escape..so I'm stuck."

I nodded "Pump?"

She shook her head "He literally just ate."

I chuckled "Hey Kari do you mind helping with something real quick?"

Kari nodded "Yeah sure..ladies I'll be back."

I stood up and walked in the house "Better?"

She sighed "How much wedding talk can they do...Alva even betrayed me!"

I laughed "Well for mom Ivar is the first of the 4 of us to actually really settle down so she's excited about this wedding...you do however need to quit being so Kari and tell them you want things your way...you and Ivar are not the glitzy wedding type."

Kari nodded "Ivar wants me in the white dress but I want simple I am all for tradition but what's the point my mother is gone my father tried to kill not only Ivar but me."

I nodded "What does Ivar say about all of it."

She sighed "Whatever I want as long as I'm in a white dress."

I nodded "Tell my mother that."

Kari raised an eyebrow "You have met your mother right..I get your parents had this huge glamorous wedding so did Torvi and Bjorn but that's not me...I would be just as happy marrying Ivar in the living room as I would be in front of 100 plus people.."

Mom walked in "Is all okay?"

I nodded "Mom I'm playing advocate here...Kari and Ivar love you and appreciate all you've done and are doing but this is their wedding...they're not like Bjorn and Torvi..."

She nodded "I see.."

Kari stepped in quickly "I do want your help you're well you're the only mother I got...but I'm not this glitzy over the top girl...I want a beautiful simple wedding...I just want to marry the love of my life and make our family whole...I can't do that without you..but I draw the line at poofs and ruffles...I'm a bride not a cremepuff. "

Mom laughed softly "Noted..Im sorry Kari...my baby is getting married and I got carried away...but I would be honored to help you."

I smiled "See not so bad now was it."

Kari rolled her eyes "Oh shut up Ubbe."

I laughed as they walked outside..

*Ivar's pov*

I couldn't lie while I can't wait to marry Kari I'm over all these plans... all I care about is seeing her in that white dress walking towards me....but I knew how my mother was...I found Kari in the kitchen..I wrapped my arms around her waist nuzzling her neck "My mother is driving me crazy."
