You Had Me(Vikings:Ubbe Lothbrok/Ivar the Boneless-Part 4)

*Ingrid's pov*

The nerves were getting the better of me the midwives told me the baby could come in the matter of a month maybe weeks which meant Ubbe was watching me like a hawk as was Torvi....I sat in the hall with the King's wife Elsewith "I'm nervous."

Elsewith nodd "Having a baby is a scary thing I imagine not knowing."

I nodded letting my hands rest on my belly "Yes...among other things."

She nodded "Your husband's brother..."

I nodded "Ivar is smart which makes him very dangerous...the man he has become is not the man I thought I knew."

Elsewith frowned "Are you afraid of him?"

I sighed "I didn't used to be but now I've seen the monster he's becoming and it scares me to my core."

She nodded "Where you with him?"

I nodded "Before Ubbe...obviously that didn't work out part of me will always care for the boy I used to know but not the man."

Elsewith nodded "Ubbe loves you dearly that much is obvious."

I glanced over to where Ubbe was talking with Bjorn and Torvi "And I love him as well."

She smiled "I can tell when you look at him."

I nodded...after church we went to the land we were finally given...I stood overlooking the land until I felt Ubbe's hand rest on my back "Husband."

Ubbe gave me a smile "We'll raise a fine family here my love..."

I smiled softly "Yeah..."

He wrapped his arms around me letting his hands rest on my belly "We will have more children live a long happy life here."

I leaned my head back against his chest "You know I think we will a very long happy life."

Ubbe pressed a kiss to my head "I love you."

I smiled "I love you too."

He turned my head to look at me "I will give you everything I can."

I turned facing him completely "You are already my love...look at what you've done for us...everything you've done to make sure me and this baby are safe."

Ubbe caressed my cheek "I always will."

I smiled...when we found out Bjorn was leaving I stopped him "Bjorn please."

Bjorn lifted my chin "Sweet little Ingrid I have to...I have to do what's best for me....I swear to the Gods Ivar will never know about her I'll kill him before I let him come near her."

I sighed "Bjorn."

He shook his head "I may not agree with taking their God becoming a Christian but I get it and you will always be like my little sister I'll do what I must to protect you."

I nodded "Be careful Bjorn Ironside."

Bjorn nodded and walked out

That afternoon I sat watching an older lady make clothes after a nice chat I found myself making some things for the baby I jumped when the door opened "Ubbe you scared me."

Ubbe laughed softly "Sorry my love...what are you doing there are women around that do this.."

I nodded "I know I met her..her name is Annis and she's making a fine blanket for our baby she said every baby deserves a good blanket which made me decide to channel a part of my own mother."
