Our Secret(Vikings-Ubbe/Hvitserk Ragnarsson:Part 3)

*Brenna's pov*

Not everyone was thrilled about me going to England mostly that being Ubbe...Egil came to aide the brothers in their plans to avenge Ragnar's murder...when Egil stepped off the boat I instantly met him with a hug jumping in his arms "Egil!"

Egil laughed "Brenna my darling little sister...how are you?"

I smiled as he sat me on my feet "I've been better...no Alva?"

He smiled "Not this time she is with child due in 2 moons."

I smiled "I'm happy for you."

Egil cupped my chin "I recieved word from Helga about what had happened I will not do anything for your sake little sister..."

I nodded "I'm okay it hurt but I'm okay Hvitserk is helping."

He raised an eyebrow as he looked towards the brothers he was much like Bjorn tall and strong with the Viking temper to match.."Hvitserk huh...if he's the reason for this smile then I am okay with it."

I smiled "He is.."

Egil nodded as we walked up "Boys it's been a while.."

Bjorn nodded "Earldom looks good on you."

He chuckled "Not an Earl yet...Alva's father still lives but we will have a son in 2 moons."

Hvitserk nodded "Congratulations Egil."

Egil looked at Hvitserk "I know everything that happened...but Brenna is happy and from my understanding is because of you...one Son of Ragnar is not in good standing with me let's not go with two."

I sighed "Egil."

He looked down at me "I said I wouldn't do nothing I didn't say I wouldn't voice my dislike over what happened..a brother doesn't take his sister's heartbreak lightly."

Bjorn nodded "And you shouldn't but trust me we all dealt with Ubbe...but Hvitserk has taken great care of Brenna since his return.."

I rolled my eyes "Okay enough."

Egil nodded "Now Bjorn I must see these boys of yours."

I looked at Hvitserk as my brother walked off with Bjorn "You okay."

Hvitserk nodded "I forgot how intimidating Egil is.."

I smiled softly "He's protective."

He nodded "As expected...he'll soon see how protective I've become over you."

I smiled up at him "Mmhmm lets go.."

Hvitserk picked me up throwing me over his shoulder "To eat!"

I laughed as he carried me into the hall "Hvitserk put me down.."

Ivar laughed from his seat "Gods its nice to hear you laughing again Brenna."

I smiled as Hvitserk sat me on my feet "Yeah.."

He smiled "Its a nice sound."

Sigurd nodded "It is.."

Hvitserk smiled "I have to agree."

I smiled softly...going through the sacrifice this time was different as I was joining this battle...when we finally landed I stood talking to Helga I could hear the brothers bickering as usual.."Can I ask you something other than Aslaug you are the closest thing to a mother I have."

Helga nodded looking away from the girl "Of course."

I sighed softly "I've decided I want to give this thing with Hvitserk a real shot I feel like the old me with him he embraces that I'm not the quiet little mouse housewife type."
