True Love(Vikings-Ivar the Boneless:Part 2){Modern Day}

*Ubbe's pov*

Today was the day of Ivar's surgery everyone was a nervous wreck especially Alva...I was glad through all he's been through these past few years since the accident he had Alva...I walked over handing her a coffee and a bag of chips "Since you won't leave."

Alva gave me a faint smile "Thanks.."

I sat down "Ivar told me you two are looking for a house."

She nodded "We want more room.."

I nodded "What for its just you two?"

Alva held out her left hand she had covered by her sleeve "We got engaged."

I raised an eyebrow "When?"

She sighed softly "Yesterday...I'm not supposed to tell anyone until after he wakes up from the surgery."

I nodded "Does Jerrik know?"

Alva nodded "He asked for his blessing...I don't know if he knows he asked or not."

I nodded "Congrats...now eat."

She nodded "Ragnar and my dad are helping us find a house though...something that is wheelchair friendly because if this goes as planned he'll still need the chair for a little while.."

I nodded "You know when mom finds out it's over with right be prepared for her to take control...especially since your mom is gone."

Alva nodded "Fully prepared for that...it will be like prom times a million."

I chuckled "Exactly."

Hvitserk sat down "Nurse said surgery is over doc will be out shortly to talk to us."

I nodded "Good...maybe now mom will go eat."

He nodded "How you holding up Al...you're calmer than you were the previous ones."

She sighed softly "I have to be...you are all so worried someone has to keep calm."

Hvitserk nodded "I'm glad he finally saw what we all did how good you were for him...even though it tool the accident for it to happen...and that girl taking off.."

I nodded "I had to agree Alva."

Alva smiled softly "Yeah.."

Mom spoke up "Doc is coming."

She stood up throwing her trash away and walked over

Doctor Gosta smiled "It all went great everything looked amazing.."

I nodded "What about walking he was doing so good?"

He smiled "Once he heals from this there should be nothing stopping him now keep in mind with the damage he recieved he will never walk unassisted whether it be a cane or the crutches so don't get your hopes up on that which I'm sure his physical therapist told you this."

Dad shook his hand "Thanks doc.."

Doctor Gosta nodded "No problem they'll be moving him into a room soon...a nurse will come get you."

Mom nodded "Thank you."

I looked down at Alva as he walked away "You were right."

Alva smiled softly "Yeah.."

I nodded "Come on lets go get some food in you my treat."

She looked at mom "Please call when the nurse comes to get you."

Mom nodded "Of course dear...go get some food.."

Alva nodded and we walked off...we sat eating pizza "Hvitserk you can't say a word...Ivar didn't want anyone to know until after this."
