From the actions of my hands shaking made everything i was doing at the moment wearisome. the paintbrush in my hand became much harder to guide in effortless strokes across the canvas. the yellows were much harsher then intended for the image. this causes me to place down the brush harshly and let a sigh escape my lips.
i take my hands to cup my face in frustration and leave them for a minute before my phone dinged. i only assumed it was the groupchat from the girls. yet when i picked it up and read grayson from the screen that led goosebumps to roll down my skin.
i use my right thumb to slide across the glass and open it.

i put down my phone and walk down the steps to face my father who just finished closing the door and letting madeline and vivian walk through with smiles and clinging clothes that made them utterly flattering.
"you're friends are here." my dad states clearly and i nod smiling at him and walking up the steps for them to follow.
"thank you mr. lune." they both say as we exit to my room and i shut the door to hear my phone buzzing nonstop.
