Song: I Run to You - Missio
Part 2
#28I struggled to put distance between me and the Ice Castle. The further I ran, the more my new status of a betrayer sank deeper into my skin.
I ran as fast as the wind would take me, never once turning back. I left everything, my only friend, sister, people.
It was moments before I reached the Outcast Grounds that my knees buckled beneath me.
"DELIVER THE PRINCESS TO ME!" Ray growled an order and I cursed bringing myself up to my feet. Forcing all of my energy into rising. I stood pressed finely against a tree, panting out of breath.
"Come out Eira, wherever you are." The Prince of Light huffed as I witnessed an explicit sound of a sword being pulled from its shovel.
I closed my eyes praying that he wasn't to find me."You could not possibly hide from your beloved husband." There was a playful tone to his voice, it was sadistically low. I clenched my hand around the forming ice, effectively grasping a sword in folds between my fingers. But the protection wasn't there, I had no sword in my keep.
"I sense your aura Elizabeth. You don't seem too happy." Ray was near, so close that I started to panic. My mind raced for solutions, as I spotted guards searching the area.
I swung clenched knuckles at my opponent as strong arms circled around my waist.
"I've got her!" One of the Ice Soldiers exclaimed, restricting any sort of movement available to me. I used my fist to knock the male unconscious. He slumped to the ground with a groan.
Then I met Ray's gaze in front of me. His golden eyes were shining so bright in the darkness, like two torch lights.
"You're a despicable being-" He shoved me against a tree. Pinning my arms above my head, his sword crumbled to the grass clinging against something solid.
"How wise are you? Running off into the Outcast grounds." The glare did nothing to seize my numbness. My legs fatigued, my heart no longer there.
"And where is my gift?" His warm finger trailed my neck-line where the pendant would have resided at. I struggled against his hold, my control getting the best of me.
"You won't control me. Not anymore!" I screamed my hands thrusted forward, rage boiling through my core. I ended up throwing Ray across the forest field. He landed on fours and lifted his golden eyes to portray a smile.
"The necklace wasn't there to control you, sweetheart. It was there to take your power." Ray was right. I couldn't manifest a snowflake. Now vulnerability pried open every locked door. My dumbfounded expression clashed with Ray's devilish simper.
"So where's the necklace? I need it." The impatience was reflecting in his warm retinas. Only that his eyes brought no comfort.
"Eira what did you do to the pendant?" I was no longer looking into his eyes but rather at the dark hooded figure that stood behind Ray.
The Light Prince ducked in time as a blade swung just above his head, hammering into the tree a little over my skull. The assassin moved with precision and accuracy. Ray had barely any time to react as the base of a metal sword hit him right in the jaw.
The assassin emerged from the pits of the dark abyss flipping the Light Prince over.Ray manifested a stroke of light that sliced the assassin's black clothes. Blood ran to the grass, masking the greenish texture with something more terrifying.
