Ch. 17

Alex's POV:
     I lie in the hotel bed thinking about what just happened.  I just kissed John!  I can't get it out of my head, I can't think about anything else but... him.  I get up out of the bed and start to pace around the room.  I walk back and forth going over things in my head then finally decide to go and talk to him.
     I walk out of the room quietly so I don't wake anyone and start to walk in the dark hallway were it was pitch black so it was difficult to see anything that wasn't directly in front of you.   I walk a couple of steps, then I crash into John.  I look at him surprised not knowing what to say.  We look at each other for a couple more seconds then I just get an urge and I run into him kissing his lips.  He kisses me back and we stand there kissing for another moment then split apart.
     John looks at me "so" he says breathlessly.
     "So" I say in return.
     John looks like he's blushing but I can't see to well in the dark "are we.... a "thing" now?" he asks hesitantly.
     I think a second then look straight into his eyes "John, I don't know about you but I've wanted this to happen since the day I met you" I say grabbing his hands.
     He looks down and this time I can tell he blushed.  I stand there waiting for an answer hoping that he feels the same "Alex to tell the truth" I hold my breath waiting for him to finish his sentence "I've felt the same way" he says with a smile.
     I take a deep breath with a smile on my face "so I guess, we're a "thing" now" I say looking at him with a huge smile.
     He giggles "ya, I guess we are" he says.  I blush a little, it's so freaking cute when he giggles.
     We stand there for a second when I hear doors creak open.  I look around and see everyone peaking their heads out of their doors.  They all stand there with smiles on their faces "finally" Peggy says with a giggle. "It's time you two got together" Eliza says with a smile.
     I blush, glad it was to dark for them to see "how much of that did you guys hear?" I ask.
     They all look at me and John who are still holding each other's hands "the whole thing" they say almost in unison. 
     After we talk about it for another couple of minutes we all decide to go back to bed.  Me and John go to our separate rooms looking back at each other.  I get to the bed and flop down.
     I get up the next morning getting maybe an hour of sleep.  I walk out to the kitchen and see John and Angie the only ones up so far.  I walk up to them with a smile "morning" I say.
     John looks up and smiles "morning" he says "want anything to eat?" he asks me leaning on the island in the middle of the kitchen.  I shake my head no and shrugs with an "ok."
     I look up at Angie "so aren't we leaving Paris today?" I ask her and she nods.  "So where are we going next?" I ask her.
     She puts down her coffee "I'm not quite sure but I think we are going to Ireland next" she says with a smile.  "Ooo" me and John say at the same time in excitement "sounds fun" John says.
     Everyone else slowly wakes up one by one then we sit in the kitchen talking for a while about what we were going to do in Ireland after we talked to Mr. Schuyler and got the conformation that we were going to Ireland next.  After another half an hour or so we all got comfortable plane clothes on and packed our stuff up then went to a little cafe for breakfast.
     We all sat down while Laf talked about all these different stories her parents had told her about Paris.  We all got our food and slowly ate. 
     Peggy looks around "why are people in Paris so freaking hot?" she says looking at a guy a couple tables away from us.  We all laugh at her, I laugh but at the same time... I totally agree with her.
     We all finish and go back to the car and go to the airport.  We all get back on the huge private plane and get settled in.  Me and John sit next to each other and hold each other's hand.  As we take off we all look out the windows and I quietly whisper "good bye Paris."
