I took a deep breathe and then shifted my weight. I rolled out from behind the bar coming up beside the first of the raiders. I kick my leg out and as he stumbles twist him to slam his head against the bar. A similar smacking sound follows from behind me and i turn to see Lee dropping the other raider unconscious to the ground. Callie's eyes are wide and she stares at Lee, who ignores her in favour of stalking towards me. The dark look on his face had me rolling my eyes, especially when I see Kain approaching with a similar expression.
"What the hell where you..." i covered his mouth and smiled
"Sorry handsome, but where not that close. Besides, i do believe their are still uninvited guests on the train."
Kain stopped a few feet back wide eyed as he stared at us. He better not have forgotten that despite the dress I was no delicate flower.
Lee pulled my hand away and his dark mood had vanished.
"i was merely surprised by your sudden decision to remove them." Riggght. "As for the others..."
the door to the carriage opens and one of the black clothed guards i recalled from our first encounter steps in. He nodded his head once and Lee before he looked over the carriage eyes pausing briefly on Kain before focusing back on Lee.
Lee smiled at me "all the inconviences have now been dealt with, and Ryan will add these two to the pile to be given to the appropriate authorities."
That's it? What about that was dangerous to the leads? System i want a refund of my effort.
Host, unable to comprehend request.
You think I'm buying that cope out? just you wait this is not over.
"Thank you so much for saving me" Callie came over and pulled on Lee's sleeve while giving me a glare on the side. Lee's expression darkened again as he flicked his fingers and Ryan came forward.
Without a word Ryan grabbed Callie and began to drag her away.
"Hey you can't, let me go" She screeched. i winced as the sounds got louder until Malcom came forward.
"Just what do you think you are doing to my fiance?" he growled and then stumbled and Kain came up behind him and chopped him on the neck. Malcom hit the ground hand before Kain grabbed one of his legs and looked at Ryan.
"Lead the way," Kain said before he glanced at me. " Please wait here until i return."
Are these really the leads? cause I'm not feeling any particular positiveness, not only annoying and arrogant but also lacking in intelligence how is that lead material?
