Levi

Prowling around the courtyard shows that the people had passed through and go out into the opposite street. The next street was residential and so not as busy as the previous, but it would still take some time to search for the correct location. With that in mind Levi began to prowl down one side of the road and then up the other until he found a conspicuous drop of blood. Eyes darkening, he continued on locating a second drop and then snarling slightly pulled a small clockwork mouse from his pocket. Placing the scrap of fabric with the blood in the hatch at the back of the mouse he sets it down on the second drop of blood and then activates its search function. Turning on his heel Levi returns to the original courtyard to wait for the raven's return and see if anyone come out to claim ownership of the courtyard. That was someone he wanted to a have a few words with.

After a few minutes, the raven comes winging back into view with Dev and Adrianna behind it racing across the roof tops. The two drop down into the courtyard beside Levi with raised brows.

"Swap with me." Levi mutters gesturing the uniform Dev was wearing while already starting to strip off the big brother disguise, he was wearing.

"ah okay but what the hell happened?" Dev speaks slowly as he also begins to change.

"Heh, it seems that my sweetheart is a bit free spirited and that some rats are getting a little too bold in their actions around town"

Adrianna had opened her mouth to speak but snapped her mouth shut again as Levi spoke shivering slightly at the dark aura rising around him.

"I see, I'll go snag Bri and we can head back to the pirate stronghold to finish up with that. We should be able to just make Gable do most of the reporting and fake the rest." Dev shrugged into the last of the disguise and started tucking his hair into the wig as he spoke.

"oh yes, such good prey should be brought ground swiftly and bloodily." Levi smiled then as he spoke but the look in his eyes were chilling.

When I come too, I'm in a small storage room. Déjà vu, although as essentially professional kidnappers I would have thought the slavers should have better prior planning. They seemed competent enough taking the girl over the wall and knocking me out.

I wince as I stand glancing at my arm, I can see a slice were a corner of my shirt had been cut off and my arm had been sliced at the same time. How did that happen? Well whatever its just a little scratch. I can't believe they didn't even tie me up.

The room was actually quite cluttered with miscellaneous items, a variety of cords, wires and gears, two partially dissembled clocks and a telescope. I walk over to the door and turn the handle trying to determine what type of lock was on the door only to find the door not locked at all. You have got to be kidding me, how is this the work of a competent enterprise?

Shrugging I turn the handle and open the door, no need for caution at this point for one this degree of skill meant that I could probably win a fight and for two if they couldn't remember to lock the door than why would they have remembered to post a guard. My assumptions proved to be correct as the hallway outside was empty.

Closing the door again I check both sides unfortunately the corridor turned at both ends so which was what way was a matter of guess work. Well let's go left and see what we find I walk down the hallway calmly acting for all the world like I was meant to be here and that there was nothing to see. Most often a person who acts like they belong is overlooked regardless of whether they actually belong. Three doors down I pause in my step as loud voices echo out into the hallway.

"What the hell are you doing?" a strident female voice rattles the walls. Ah the kidnappee. "You only had one job, try and rope in as many nobles and merchants as you can, I need an excuse to weaken the power base when I marry the little prince?" The voice reaches a screech at the end of the sentence. Then again apparently not. The door to the next room is slightly ajar and so I walk over to it and glance inside finding no one I slip inside and leave the door ajar to be out of sight but continue to listen to the conversation. Well so long as they maintain that volume.
