I lead Levi in and out of shops sometimes buying something a shirt her pants there and sometimes just looking. Finally, a complete outfit was arranged for each of us and I let Levi lead the way into an out of the way inn. We book two rooms, and the owner doesn't even bother to look up to check the patrons. Lips curling, I step into my room and then quickly change. The fancy clothes for low middle-class look. Upon close inspection the materials would suggest higher class, but I was fairly certain that for the most part my targets wouldn't be looking that closely. A short black wig to finish the look and I now resembled an excitable young boy, looking for adventure. Stepping out of the room I see Levi standing in the hallway similarly dressed and with his own black wig giving the impression of the serious older brother.

"Brother time to go." I say and he blinks before smiling.

"Come on then, let's get going." We head back onto the streets and this time the act is excitable newcomer. Looking here and there at the buildings, the fountains, the shops. Not to long after I feel a set of eyes staring at us. Levi's smile darkens as he turns and straightens my jacket eyes flicking to a nearby ally in the process. "alright, you've looked around enough time to eat something."

"Okay." We head into a nearby small eatery and settle down in cover of looking around at the pictures on the wall I spot the two robbed mean lurking in the ally. "Hey how good are your tracking skills?"

"there not bad but I don't like the look your wearing."

"Well it just seems like it would be nice to cut off some fingers in the city pies."

"Yeah, I really don't like how where this is going."

"its fine, as the saying goes you can't make an omelette without breaking some eggs after all." This is only a game so I'd much rather clear it fast than linger on impossible things. I smile a little sadly as look away from Levi.

"Hmm, but which eggs are you breaking?"

"Well – " I cut myself off at the sight of a richly dressed girl walking by the ally and being grabbed while the guards and other people just kept walking as if nothing had happened.

Protagonist identified; the plot advances please make persistent effort.

The hell? The plot is not supposed to have started yet and I definitely am not a slaver kidnapping rich girls. You have got to be kidding me.

"Never mind, new plan. I'm going to play reckless hero you go switch out with Dev, they should be here by now since this was Dad's next stop and then beat the prince to saving damsels." Without waiting for a reply, I dash out of the shop and into the alley.

Levi

As Rayne dashes from the store Levi pauses his brain freezing on what he just heard. What in the world. When he snaps back to attention it was to the sight of Rayne dashing into the ally. Shaking his head Levi stands and strides over to the ally intending to first beat the people who had been in it and then explain a few life truths to his reckless 'brother'. However, when he steps into the alley it is deserted. No signs of the lurkers and more importantly no sign of Rayne. The ground was paved, and no clear tracks could be seen while the alley ended in a solid brick wall with the back door to the clothing shop and grocery store on either side being firmly locked.

"I didn't like the way he was originally thinking but I like this improvisation even less," Levi mutters as he walks up to the wall and then leaps up to catch the low lip and flips to stand on it. The other side of the alley was a deserted courtyard and there where heavy footprints in the garden bed below, heavier than one would expect of just one person. We are definitely having words about this. If the temptation of handcuffs and locked doors doesn't' get to me first.

Removing his wig and tucking it into the shoulder bad he was carrying Levi pulls out a small whistle and blows it while no sound seemed to come from it minutes later a clock work raven wings in to land on his arm.

"To Dev, I need to be me for a while in the Haben trade district for a hunt, send me my guards and make yourself scarce." The raven's eyes glow orange for a moment and it wings away back across the city.

"Next time, I am going to have Rayne tell me all the plans and contingencies he has before we even step out of the cabin. If I let him out at all." Levi's words get darker as the sentence progresses when he notices a scrap of a plain brown vest in good material caught on a branch of the shrub in the garden bellow. Leaping over the garden to land on the pavement and clear of the footprints Levi reaches for the scrap of fabric in the same colour and material as what Rayne was wearing and snarls as he catches sight of its smooth edge that had clearly been cut not torn as well as traces of fresh blood.
