Can change your feelings and your future
Can dry tears or create them
So simple

Only words can rip up a family that has thrived for nine years
Changing their world in one fatal swoop
And you think
Have all the kisses and toys and soft hands meant anything?
That they can be destroyed with the thing that lives in a persons brain
Concealed thoughts that you never thought you could share
And yet when you finally do share them
The effect is crazy
One week its all hand holding and I Love Yous
And the next mom is gone and your dad is sitting you down and telling you not to cry
And that your all he has left
And that every thousand kind words cannot make up for those quiet thoughts suddenly spoken
Their wedding pictures are in a book on the table
They had plans for retirement
And its all gone
As sudden as a strike of lighting creating a false daylight for a second before the wind and the rain
And you build your oppinions based on the beauty of that light
And what you see that could be if you really tried
But then the thunder hits and you run for cover
And you thought everything was fine until it wasn't
And by then it was too late
Too late for I Love Yous
Too late for kisses and toys and soft hands
And the words you say to try to mend only makes things worse until all you can do is watch everything break
