Rape: Any sexual act comited by perpetrator against a victim without their consent.
That is the dictionary definition of rape.
It's comonly percieved that the way a person was dressed is "asking for it"
However
Forcing someone to do something they don't want to do
means they weren't asking for it
They were screaming
No
No
Please no
I don't want you to do this
Don't touch me
Stop
How do any of those words sound like words of affirmation?
The four year old girl who was taken advantage of wasn't asking for it
Neither was the teenager wearing Kahkis and a dress shirt, doing a presentation at school
People often give lists
Things for women to do to avoid being raped
But rape happens during our everyday lives
Why should we have to read these
10 tips lists and change our daily lives to avoid something
that we have no control over?
Women are not a tool to be used however you please
We are people
And we are the only people that have a say about what we do or dont do with our bodies.
