You hated how your dad was always so strict and overprotective. He always has so many rules. Like a rule for how you should wash the dishes, one for how to do everything. He also gave you a curfew. You have to be at home before or at 9:00, if you're there on time he punishes you or grounds you. You were so mad at him and over it that he literally treats you like a baby. He also doesn't let you go to parties.
You didn't care about it. You were today at a really popular girls party. Anyone who was anyone went to this party. It was currently 9:30. You didn't have track of time. Your dad was worried sick. He was calling all of your friends mothers, literally everyone who knew you.
You looked at your phone.
"Oh Sh*t! Its 10:30! My dad is gonna kill me!" You said as you ran out of the party. You got on your motorcycle and sped home. You got a ticket for passing the speed limit. This lost you more time. You finally got home. You parked your motorcycle outside the apartment structure and rushed inside. You ran up the stairs. You went to grab your keys, but your dad then opened the door.
"Daddy, I'm really sorry- OWWWW!" Your dad grabbed you by your ear and moved you inside.
"(Y/F/N) WHAT WERE YOU THINKING!" He practically yelled at you.
"Dad it was just a little part-"
"You were at a PARTY!" He said, yelling the last part.
"Dad, anyone who is anyone, went to that party, just understand!" You begged him.
"I specifically told you no parties and then you broke another rule and came at 10:50!"
"Ialsogotaticket." You said shyly
"You. What?"
"Got. Aticket."
"You got a ticket!"
"For passing the speed limit. I was just trying to get home faster!"
"But a ticket is still a ticket (y/n)!!"
"Daddy please, you have to stop with all the strictness and all the rules. I get tired of it so fast!"
"I do it for your own good! You being my daughter opens you up to so many threats! I am just protecting you!"
"But you need to dial it down a bit!"
"Stop yelling at me! That's it go to your room you're grounded!"
"But dad-"
"Just go!"
You stomped off, to your room.
You couldn't believe it. You couldn't believe your dad was acting like this. It was so unlike him. You flopped on the bed. You felt tears fall down your face gracefully. You wiped them off with your hand.
It was always like this. He thought you were the perfect daughter. He WANTED you to be the perfect daughter. But you weren't. You hid it from him. You hid it from everybody. Nobody knew you had dyslexia. Nobody knew you were dyslexic. Dyslexia is a condition that makes it really hard for somebody to read, spell or write. Like if there was a w in a word you saw an m. If there was a d you saw a b. It literally just changes the letters, but it makes it hard for you to go along with your regular day.
You had had enough. You marched over to your closet and picked up one of your bookbags. You started to cram clothes for at least a week, money, your IPod that your Uncle Tony gave you for when you were grounded you could listen to music when you were grounded, your Wireless Beats headphones with their headphones, some pads and tampons and some other necessities. You turned the location off of your phone.
You quietly opened your bedroom window, put a foot out on the ledge carefully, put your other foot out and then closed the window. Then, you jumped down, and landed carefully.
You ran out as fast as you could to a friends apartment, that was just close by in Queens.
