"The Time of the Elves is over. Do we leave Middle-Earth to its fate? Do we let them stand alone?" Galadriel to Elrond, Two Towers (2002 Film)
"I bring word from Lord Elrond of Rivendell: An Alliance once existed between Elves and Men. Long ago we have fought and died together. We come to honor that Allegiance. We are proud to fight alongside Men once more." Haldir to Theoden and Aragorn in Helm's Deep, Two Towers (2002 Film)

Write a one-shot or multi-shot on Haldir and his Elves that marched from Lothlorien to Helm's Deep. Write in detail about the journey - from Galadriel asking for volunteers, through their trek from Lothlorien, to his arrival to Helm's Deep and meeting Theoden and Aragorn. Write from Haldir's POV.
Write about his thoughts concerning the Race of Men and the coming battle. And about the sacrifice they were making for the Rohirrim. Why did they volunteer? What made them give up a life of eternity in the Undying Lands in order to help the Race of Men to survive the Shadow of Mordor another day? Do they think they'll live to see the Undying Lands? (Keep in mind that a third of the Elves were still alive after the Battle. The movies just don't bother showing them because they were used for the coming Rohirrim led by Eomer)
