Remember when I said, Melkor, that I hope that Ungoliant eats you? Well, it looks like I'm about to get my wish (it's SO great being the author!) Serves you right for being all hoity-toity and evil-y! And withholding the Silmarils for your greedy self!
*Sighs* It would've been perfect . . . until your BLASTED Balrogs had to wake up from their deep hibernation to spoil the fun by saving your evil, oversized butt! I mean . . . HOW?! THEY WERE SLEEPING!!!
That just makes me hate Balrogs more. Besides the whole taking-over-Moria-and-killing-some-of-the-Dwarves-and-helping-encourage-Orcs-to-come-back-into-Moria-and-kill-the-rest-as-well-as-attacking-the-Fellowship-and-hurting-our-poor-Gandalf-bean! Balrogs are a bunch of killjoys! X(
In short: Write in Melkor's POV as he deals with Ungoliant's insatiable hunger and attacks him. What are his thoughts during this scene? What does he feel as Ungoliant attacks him? Did he expect his Balrog Guard (which seems to contain dozens of Balrogs) to come to his aid?
Bonus: Ungoliant kills Melkor, eats the Silmarils, then eats Melkor, and becomes the biggest, meanest, baddest, evillest, and most dangerous Spider in both Arda and Middle-Earth and becomes the Lady of Middle-Earth (until she ends up consuming herself, the glutton!). lol XD
Alternative 1: Write this scene in Ungoliant's POV as she demands the gems and the Silmarils from Melkor as her payment as he had promised. What are her thoughts as Melkor refuses and she attacks him? What is her reaction to the sudden arrival of Melkor's Balrog Guards?
Alternative 2: Write this scene in the Balrogs' POV as they stir from their hibernation as they hear Melkor's screams. What are their thoughts as they wake up, flame on, and rush to their Dark Master's aid? What is their reaction to the Mother of all Spiders -- literally? What are their reactions when Melkor stops them from chasing after her and killing her and orders them to follow him back to Angband?
-- Bonus: The Balrogs are all brothers! Man -- somebody had a LOT of chibbles! I bet you their dad left them and their mother put them into the Maiar Foster System which is why they're now serving Melkor: He's their foster dad. Whoa -- THAT WAS DEEP! lol XD

Author's Note: Mae govannen, mellyn! Here's the second prompt of the day for you! Yes, this is a bit goofy and not like my usual prompt outlines, but I went for something goofy based on what I said from the previous Silmarillion Prompt (Prompt 5), and both prompts were written when I was deliriously happy because it was past my bedtime.
Why was I up at 2:30 in the morning? I was baking. I had great energy and not the least-bit sleepy and I wanted to use that energy to bake for my family. So I baked a quadruple batch of homemade cinnamon peppermint molasses cookies (a new invention of mine) -- which were good, by the way -- and a triple batch of homemade biscuits. ^_^
Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy Prompts 5 and 6. If you guys like, I can start preparations for some Narnia Prompts in the near future. Sound good?
