The room fell quiet again. It was no longer awkward. Visiting hours were almost over, but Jin didn't care to remind us about it.
The oldest was sitting, curled up on the other armchair in the room. I was comfortable lounging with my feet hanging over the arm of mine. Yoongi was sitting with his legs crossed on the chair next to Namjoon's bed and Hoseok had moved his own closer to the circle. Taehyung had found an extra pillow on the table next to Jimin and was sitting in pretzel on the end of the bed with his hands resting on it. Even Namjoon had settled back into his bed comfortably, picking at the sleeve of the hospital gown every now and then.
I found it funny, seeing him wearing the papery pastel purple gown.
"What are you so smug about?" Namjoon laughed at my expression.
"You look pretty in purple," I teased and the others joined in.
"It matches your eyes."
"His eyes are practically black what are you talking about?"
"Black goes with everything Taehyung."
"I think it's a trend that should start: hospital fashion."
"Oh god, no..."
"Hey! Scrubs are fashionable..."
"Yeah ok Jin, whatever you say."
"Personally, I think the female nurses purposefully choose the gown two sizes too small for a reason," Jin cackled just thinking about it, making us all join in.
"Hey, they like what they see," we all groaned at Namjoon's random jab of cockiness and he joined our laughter.
The conversation carried into some random things. Most of it was weird questions we had always wanted to ask doctors or nurses but never felt confident enough that they wouldn't put us in asylums for asking about it.
Honestly, one of Hoseok's questions made me wanna put him in one. I laughed at the thought.
The more we talked, the more comfortable the room felt. It wasn't quite complete though and I could tell we all knew that. I stared at Jimin's face. His features were calm and silent, as if he really were just asleep. He looked so peaceful and calm like that, with nothing worrying him in the present.
The thought of him listening to us and smiling in whatever plane of being he was in, like Jin had said, gave me some comfort.
We're all here Jimin. We're all waiting on you, I thought. Just wake up soon, okay? We need you to wake up. The world's not right without a Park Jimin to call its own.
How many times do I have to tell you I'm sorry until you hear me? And how many sleepless nights do I have to spend to see you well again? I just want to see you happy, Jimin.
