One Long Night

Star let go of Peter and quite literally bounced after Pony Head, and after inspection, the earthling discovered the ground was actually clouds. He hesitantly stepped onto the next cloud and when he wasn't falling through it, he followed Star. "Ok Parker. Magic and all this is just a science you don't quite understand yet." he told himself.

Loud pop music in a language Peter had never heard before blared through the speakers, and colorful lights splashed across his vision. Peter put his hands in his pockets and smiled sheepishly at the people/aliens sizing him up occasionally. For the socially awkward bookworm, parties so weren't his thing.

He eventually found Star in the crowd, and gently kicked her in the shoe to get her attention. Once she turned to him, he offered an apologetic smile. "How long are we planning to stay?" The princess shrugged vaguely, her cheek hearts lit up ever so slightly in the dark. "However long we want! Have fun, let loose, but don't go too close to the edge!" she instructed. Before Pete could question her further, she was swept into the crowd.

"Great..." the teen grumbled. With no prior knowledge of aliens, Peter decided to just move away from the loud noise and lights. The air got emptier and colder the further he explored until the floor suddenly gave way leaving Peter to scream and flail in the air. Instinctively, Peter flung his arm out and pressed his fingers against the palm of his hand, shooting out a long piece of webbing to the nearest structure. He was left dangling in the air attempting to catch his breath. "Sorry. Fall's not in season yet." Peter quipped. He then looked down to see what fate would have awaited him if he wasn't Spider-Man.

Surprisingly, it wasn't. Also surprisingly, at the bottom of the pit were spikes extending from...nowhere as well as an unfortunate soul who didn't have the same ability as Peter. The webslinger shuddered, and climbed his web to the top, careful that no one saw him. Not that anyone here knew him.

Once he made it to safety, he got a good look of disappointment from his roommate. "What did I say about the edge?" Star scolded. Before he could even respond, she took his wrist again. "Come on, there's a photo booth!" she said as she dragged Peter to her point of interest.

Once there, Peter was shoved inside directly into Pony Head who sneered at him, but corrected herself to a smile when Star hopped in.  Peter smiled awkwardly for each photo, trying to pose like the girls as quickly as he could, and then suddenly Star was squeezing him close and squeaking. "Okay, now just my two besties!"

"Besties?"

The moment she left, he got a face full of angry unicorn horn in his face. His hands flung up in surprise. "Listen Earth butt," Pony growled, eyes narrowing on Peter's wary gaze, "I don't like you. At all."

They twisted at the last second as the flash went off, both of them attempting for a normal pose, and then Pony shot him another glare. Peter scowled at her, exasperation evident. "What's your problem?" he snapped, pausing fro a second to take another photo with her. "I didn't even want to come!"

"Then why-snap- did you bother? You're ruining my night with Star, this might be my last chance to-" Pony Head said before trailing off. Peter forced himself to cool and studied the unicorn warily. "Last chance to what?" he asked.

They ignored the last snap of the booth, staring at one another, and Pony Head huffed in displeasure, looking away from Peter with a frown. "None of your beeswax." She left the booth and Peter followed quickly, intending to catch up and demand what's going on, but suddenly the two princesses were darting the other way. Star was giggling and Pony Head glancing behind them. "Where are we-?" he questioned.

"Dimension hopping!" Star answered before he could fully ask, cheeks twinkling in delight. "Come on, it'll be fun!"

"Yeah, come on, let's go." Pony Head slurred around her scissors.
