"Great, an actual bookworm, but instead of a worm, I get a weird old alien guy."  Spider-Man observed the little blue man. "Who?" he asked politely.

"I'm at your service m'lady." Glossaryck said with a bow.

Peter leaned back in and cocked a thumb back to himself. "I'm not a m'lady. It's Spider-MAN."

Glossaryck's eyes widened and he leaned in to examine the spandex wearing teen. Then returned to his meditative position. "Could've fooled me. Goodbye." he said as he fell back in the book and started to close it.

Spidey's eyes grew wide and quickly stopped it from closing completely. "No!" He then felt himself being lifted by the huge book as the keeper started talking. "This book is not for the likes of you. Magical princesses only." he informed.

"This isn't for me! I'm trying to find a spell for Star." Pete quickly explained.

Glossaryk began to laugh from within the book. "Ah. Star Butterfly." He poked his head out from within the pages. "What's wrong with her?" he asked seriously.

"She says she has Mew-berty."

"I usually don't make exceptions," Glossaryck said as he pushed the cover over. "But this once I'll help you."

"Great!" Spidey exclaimed. "How do I make it stop?"

"Well... you can't stop it." the bookkeeper stated simply. "That's not an option." Spider-Man said with a glare. "Do not worry my arachnid friend. It'll all be over soon. Star should be back to normal by..." Glossaryck glanced at a watch on his left wrist and set it at 2:57 P.M. "2:57. Or she won't." he explained.

"She won't what?" Peter asked, agitation growing.

"Be back to normal." he said with a grin.

"That's it? There's nothing I can do."

"Look kid. Nature can not be stopped." the wizard said matter-of-factly. "That is all." he finished before closing the book.

"Thanks for nothing." Spider-Man grumbled then glanced to his watch. 2 o'clock. "I will stop this." he said as he jumped out the window.

Back at Midtown High, kids were walking to go to their final class of the day, when the boy from the water fountain paused to look at the vine like stains on the ground. He locked to the lockers, but instead, found a heart shaped cocoon wedged between them.

Curious, he approached the cocoon with his hand extended and touched the surface. Then a hand extended on the other side to touch it like a mirror.

"Whoa!" the boy said as he pulled back his hand. Then another hand appeared, then another until there were six. Then a figure of a girl emerged. She had large, pink heart shaped eyes and her hair frizzled about. The figure tilted her head.

The student stood back, terrified as the cocoon began to crack open. The girl;s hair flapped to take flight and once airborne, twisted up to form buns and butterfly like wings took over the job. Her six arms then took place as they should. The boy still looked up even as common sense told him to run.

Star tilted her head down at him and smiled. "Boy."

Peter arrived at school still in costume. If all the girls hiding behind pillars wasn't enough to gain his attention, all the vines hanging from the walls and floor sure did. "Whoever the interior decorator is for this place, they need to stop watching Jurassic Park." he joked. Spider-Man racked the vines out of his way when a hand reached out to grab him. It was Flash Thompson. "Spider-Man! You got to help us out here man." Peter turned to see a row of boys trapped by what looked like purple webs.

Star then emerged from a nearby hall with a smaller kid stuck in her grasp screaming.

The hero was torn. This was his friend, and he didn't want to hurt her. But it was his job as a hero to stop this. "I'm so sorry Star." he mumbled before he jumped to the air. "Let him go!" Spidey yelled, gaining both of their attention. He side kicked Star to the ground before fasting a web net to catch the fellow student. He then landed in his fighting crouch, and eyed Star as she got up. "Star! You gotta get over yourself. You're scaring everyone."

Star smiled at him. "That's it Star." he said slowly. "Just let me help you." he offered before an alarm blared in his head. He didn't have enough time to react as Star blasted him with her own heart like webbing, sticking him to a wall. "Hey whoa! Don't you think you're rushing things a little too much? You're, like fourteen!" he yelled while ripping the stuff off.

Star turned to finish what she started before Spider-Man interrupted. By that time, Spider-Man had an arm loose and shot a line at her foot. She glanced back at him. "Don't leave! The party wouldn't be the same if you keep locking up the guests. By the way, web things already taken."

With a flick of the wrist, Spidey threw Star against a row of lockers, causing her trap to shake off and freeing the students inside. All of them started fleeing. ""You're welcome?!" Spider-Man sarcastically said before he was pulled from his position.

Star took multiple turns to lose Peter, and regardless of slamming into multiple walls, doors, and pillars, he hung on mostly grunting and screaming.

"Alright Star. Oof. This joy ride ends, now!" Peter hooked his legs around a pillar, straining as he attempted to stop Star's flight. Then a flashback of Glossaryck flashed in his mind. "Look kid. Nature can't be stopped." He looked around to all the trapped students, then to the struggling Star. He let out a deep sigh. "Looks like I can't punch my way out of this one. I'll help you Star, I promise." he somberly declared before letting go of the line.

Star jolted free, then looked back to Spider-Man before taking off into the cafeteria. Peter followed after her. When he walked in, he was met with a strange sight. Small purple hearts seemingly fell from the sky. Spidey's eyes widened, and he quickly looked at his watch. It read 2:57 P.M. He looked back up, and saw Star back to normal and falling from the air. "Star!" he yelled as he climbed on a table and jumped, catching her bridal style.

Star moaned as she stirred awake, her vision trying to settle in. "Star? Star! Can you hear me?" a familiar voice asked. When her vision cleared, she could make out friendly bug eyed lenses. "Spidey!" she squealed, hugging him tightly.

Pete returned the embrace. "Good to have you back." he softly said. He lifted his head after hearing the commotion outside. "Just as I got to go." he grumbled, placing Star on her feet. He then heard the soft sound of something trying to flutter coming from behind Star. "What's that?"

Star twisted her body around to understand what he was talking about. They were small, purple moth like wings that had sprouted on her back. Star squealed. "I got my Mewberty wings!" she cheered bouncing back and forth.

Peter's skepticism turned into scientific curiosity. "Does that mean you can fly for real?"

"Only one way to find out." she declared.

However, the sounds outside were getting louder and closer. Spider-Man turned to Star. "Show me later." he whispered before turning around to make his exit.

"Wait!" Star called out before he could leave. He turned around as Star ran up to him. She raised his mask slightly, exposing only his mouth and cheeks, and kissed him. The boy's eyes went wide as she pulled away. "Thank you."

Pete's face went red before he pulled the mask back over. "N-no problem." he stuttered out. He coughed roughly to regain composure. "If you ask me, I think your Mewberty has your horomones still raging." he said with a forced chuckle. "See ya." he said before swinging out an exit.

Star waved after him with a huge smile and one thing on her mind. "Best hero friend ever!"
